Nathania was so enjoyable to have in our home and talk to. She is willing to learn and excited about life. She was happy to pitch in a help with whatever we were doing and to teach us things as well. We'd love to have her back.
I had such an amazing time & learning experience with Jill . Brent her husband showed me how to make some cheese & it was very educational. Jill is a women of many talents when It comes to baking, so many different yummy types of bread & pies. I had the chance to use one of their bikes & visit the nice neighborhood & cute water creek.

Lucy was lovely to have in our home. She is interesting and fun to talk to. She cared for out cat lovingly like she was her own and spent so much time eliminating weeds in our garden! We'd be happy to have her back and to recommend her to anyone.

I recently spent two weeks staying with Jill and Brent out in the western suburbs of Chicago. Lucas was a wonderful addition to our home--our only regret was that it was only a week! He is an intelligent and interesting young man with whom we enjoyed many conversations. I stayed with Jill, Brent and their adult daughter Becca for a week in Warrenville. It was my first workaway experience in the US and it was such a nice one. I got all time I needed for long walks in the beautiful natural reserves around the town, awesome sleeps in a comfortable bed, delicious food and nice conversations with the family. They have travelled a lot and know plenty of countries and places, which was nice because they could help me with planning my journey through the States and we could share stories about places in Europe. We also got to celebrate Easter together, which I think was a pleasure. I enjoyed working out in their garden, and I was really free to choose when and how to do it myself. Making cheese with Brent was definitely one of the highlights of my stay, a truly exiting activity I would love to continue doing. We also cooked and baked together, which I really enjoyed. I’m just very thankful to the whole family for having me around and being so kind and generous. I would be happy to go back there any time and definitely recommend them for other workawayers.

I stayed for a couple of weeks with Jill and Brent, and they were amazing. They made me feel like it was my home. The garden is a lovely and peaceful place if you want to relax for a bit. Warrenville is also a lovely place and very quick drive to Route 59 Train Station, which is where you'll get a cheap train ride to Chicago.

I loved my experience with Jill and Brent! Aside from their lovely homes (especially magical in the winter), I enjoyed the company of their cat, turtle, and had so much fun learning how to make cheese. I stayed with Brent and Jill for a week in June, they are kind and flexible people, it was pleasant to stay with them and help them with weeding and cooking Italian food for them, meeting their daughters who are very nice; and even though I only stayed for a short time it was pleasant. We loved having Anjelika with us, if only for a brief stay. She is so enjoyable to talk to and has so many good ideas! She is a gentle, intelligent soul who wants to contribute in any way she can. We felt as if she didn't want to just do work for us but to make our lives better for her having been here.

Jill and Brent are amazing. We stayed at their house for 10 days and it immediately felt like home. They are so hospitable, let us use like everything and helped us in every way they could. We also had so many good conversations and really enjoyed our days there. The only thing that wasn't that good for us - was the weather.

Max and Diane were by far my favorite workaway people so far. They didn't simply do the things on our list (which was more than we even expected) but were always looking for ways to help. Their attitude and interest in learning was excellent. We enjoyed our conversations very much. Any host would be fortunate to have them.

We had an amazing time staying with Jill and Brendt taking care of the garden, the house, making cheese and picking the asparagus. The house was so comfortable and we started feeling at home right away. And Chicago was only a 45 mins drive away by train, which is perfect!
