We are an open-minded family who loves meeting people from other countries, sharing stories, and enjoying good company. Our team consists of my wife (26), myself (48), our 4-year-old daughter, and a very friendly dog who will turn 8 in September.
We live in Xalapa, the capital of Veracruz, a city famous for its vibrant cultural life, excellent coffee, and green surroundings. Within less than a hour and a half drive, we have access to rivers, mountains, water parks, beaches, and "pueblos mágicos" (magic towns) waiting to be discovered. If you love nature, culture, and family life, this is the place for you!

Somos una familia de mente abierta a la que le apasiona conocer personas de otros países, compartir historias y disfrutar de una buena convivencia. El equipo lo formamos mi esposa (26 años), yo (48 años), nuestra pequeña hija de 4 años y un perrito muy amigable que en septiembre cumple 8.
Vivimos en Xalapa, la capital de Veracruz, una ciudad famosa por su vibrante vida cultural, su excelente café y su entorno verde. A menos de hora y media a la redonda tenemos acceso a ríos, montañas, balnearios, playas y pueblos mágicos por descubrir. Si te gusta la naturaleza, la cultura y la vida en familia, ¡este es tu lugar!

We love cooking together, and if we hit it off, we enjoy organizing weekend trips to show you the beautiful nature, rivers, beaches, and magic towns surrounding Xalapa. We want you to feel like a "big sister" in our home, sharing stories and, if you'd like, practicing languages with our 4-year-old daughter in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.

Nos encanta la convivencia natural y conocer personas de distintas culturas. En nuestra casa, el intercambio ocurre compartiendo las comidas diarias, platicando y disfrutando del día a día en familia. Nos fascina cocinar juntos y, si hay buena química, nos encanta organizar salidas de fin de semana para mostrarte la hermosa naturaleza, ríos, playas y pueblos mágicos que rodean a Xalapa. Queremos que te sientas como una "hermana mayor" en nuestro hogar, compartiendo historias y, si lo deseas, practicando idiomas con nuestra hija de 4 años en un ambiente relajado y sin presiones.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and positive volunteer who wants to become like a "big sister" in our family dynamic. The main support would be for just a few hours a day (leaving you plenty of free time to explore the region at your own pace) and would focus on:
Childcare and games: Spending quality time with our 4-year-old daughter, doing crafts, playing, reading stories, or, if you'd like, sharing songs or words in your native language with her!
Light housework: Very basic tasks of daily life together, such as clearing the table after meals or keeping the play area tidy.
For us, the most important thing is human connection and cultural exchange. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children, is patient, and wants to live an authentic experience sharing day-to-day life with us.

Buscamos a una voluntaria entusiasta, responsable y con energía positiva, que quiera integrarse como una "hermana mayor" en nuestra dinámica familiar. El apoyo principal sería de solo unas horas al día (dejándote mucho tiempo libre para que puedas explorar la región a tu propio ritmo) y se centraría en:
Cuidado y juegos: Pasar tiempo de calidad con nuestra hija de 4 años, hacer manualidades, jugar, leer cuentos o, si lo deseas, ¡compartir con ella canciones o palabras en tu idioma nativo!
Apoyo ligero en casa: Tareas muy básicas de la convivencia diaria, como levantar la mesa después de comer o mantener ordenado el espacio de juego.
Para nosotros lo más importante es la conexión humana y el intercambio cultural. Buscamos a alguien que genuinamente disfrute de los niños, que sea paciente y que quiera vivir una experiencia auténtica compartiendo el día a día con nosotros.

ENGLISH We are very interested in having our 4-year-old daughter learn and practice whatever language you speak or want to teach her, naturally through games, songs, and daily life. Please note that only the dad speaks both languages (fluent Spanish and intermediate English), while the mom speaks only Spanish. However, we can all happily help you practice and improve your Spanish while you share your language and culture with our little girl. It’s a win-win in a very relaxed environment! ESPAÑOL Nos interesa mucho que nuestra hija de 4 años tenga un acercamiento natural con el idioma que tú hables o quieras enseñarle, a través de juegos, canciones y la convivencia diaria. Cabe aclarar que solo el papá habla ambos idiomas (español fluido e inglés intermedio), mientras que la mamá solo habla español. Sin embargo, todos podemos ayudarte con gusto a practicar y mejorar tu español mientras tú compartes tu idioma y cultura con nuestra pequeña. ¡Es un ganar-ganar en un ambiente muy relajado!
Accommodation
ENGLISH
We offer a clean, secure, and comfortable private bedroom (4x4 meters), which is furnished and includes a double bed. The bathroom is shared.
Regarding meals, three daily meals are fully provided. We love cooking all kinds of food, sharing the table as a family, and chatting about our day, so there will always be a spot ready for you. If you have any dietary restrictions, just let us know so we can accommodate them!

Ofrecemos una habitación privada de 4x4 metros, limpia, segura y cómoda; está amueblada y cuenta con una cama matrimonial. El baño es compartido.
Respecto a las comidas, te incluimos los tres alimentos diarios. Nos encanta cocinar de todo, compartir la mesa en familia y platicar sobre nuestro día, por lo que siempre tendrás un lugar listo para ti. Si tienes alguna restricción alimentaria, avísanos con confianza para tomarla en cuenta.

Xalapa is a beautiful city, full of parks, coffee shops, and culture, and it's very easy to get around by walking or using public transport. Our location is strategic: we are nestled right at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range, surrounded by stunning mountains and cloud forests perfect for hiking. In fact, right here we have the Cofre de Perote, which is one of the highest mountains in Mexico. Additionally, in less than an hour and a half, you can visit the Gulf beaches, enjoy ecotourism in the rivers of Actopan or Jalcomulco, or stroll through the "Pueblos Mágicos" of Coatepec and Xico.
As for house rules, we only ask for mutual respect, cleanliness in common areas, and keeping in mind that we are a family home with a young daughter and a friendly dog, so we appreciate a peaceful, smoke-free environment indoors. Looking forward to sharing with you soon!

Xalapa es una ciudad hermosa, llena de parques, cafeterías y cultura, muy fácil de recorrer en transporte público o caminando. Estamos ubicados estratégicamente: nos encontramos justo en las faldas de la Sierra Madre Oriental, rodeados de impresionantes montañas y bosques de niebla ideales para el senderismo. De hecho, aquí mismo tenemos el Cofre de Perote, que es una de las montañas más altas de México. Además, a menos de hora y media puedes visitar las playas del Golfo, hacer ecoturismo en los ríos de Actopan o Jalcomulco, o pasear por los Pueblos Mágicos de Coatepec y Xico.
Como normas de la casa, solo pedimos respeto mutuo, limpieza en las áreas comunes y tener en cuenta que somos un hogar familiar con una niña pequeña y un perrito amable, por lo que apreciamos un ambiente tranquilo y libre de humo en el interior. ¡Esperamos compartir pronto contigo!
