Description
I have a few passions in life, three of them being travel, people and nature. In 2019 - 2020 I travelled solo in South America for 7 months, using Workaway as a means to meet people and experience the culture of a specific country. I travelled through Argentina, Peru and Chili, working mostly in Youth Hostels, but also joined an artist for 2 weeks, and lived with a family who was running a music, art and ballet school in Peru. All of them extremely successful endeavors.
I have been working in a restaurant in Mossel Bay since 2021, but now it has become time to travel again, so I have joined Workaway. I am young at heart, physically healthy, energetic and love adventure, meeting new people and becoming involved in new projects. I have 4 married children and 8 grandchildren, whom I love dearly and see regularly. I am open minded, yet have strong principles and am able to commit to something once I become involved. My profession is psychology, and I am also a registered facilitator for Family Constellation Work, which I find a very powerful technique for creating shifts in family relationships.

During my life I worked as a school psychologist, a teacher counsellor and had my own private practice as educational psychologist for a few years. I also spent a year working in Namibia as psychologist and taught English in Thailand for a year. I have travelled extensively, lived in the USA and The Netherlands each for a year, and have been quite involved with my children and grandchildren. I speak a little Spanish, but English and Afrikaans are my spoken languages. I love gardening, have done the family cooking for years, and am thorough when it comes to cleaning, although that is not my favourite occupation. I love travelling, hiking, swimming and visiting with people.

I love games, the sitting together around a table, playing, laughing and having fun. I knit to stay busy, and sometimes do sewing. I love watching movies and enjoy doing word and number games on my phone.
