  Hello!
  
  My name is Ari. I’m 25 years old and a local from Lombok, Indonesia, originally from a small village in Suralaga.
  
  Since two years ago, me and my family have been running an English learning program for both young people and adults in the local community—not only within neighborhoods but also in schools where students need deeper support in learning English. To make this program as successful as possible and achieve strong results, especially in English proficiency, we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to serve as tutors. Your presence will help students practice their English and boost their motivation to learn.
  
  Our foundation is dedicated to supporting families in need, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. We aim to shift mindsets and inspire a passion for learning that can lead to a brighter future.
  
  All of our students are eager and excited to learn. They will warmly welcome anyone willing to share their English skills with them.
  
  If you have a passion for volunteering and are curious about experiencing a unique culture, we would love to introduce you to the beauty and traditions of our community.
  
  We ask for a commitment of five days of teaching per week. On your free days, we’ll take you on trips to explore the local area.
  
  In this teaching project we just prepared accomodation to stay as comfortable as possible, We can not prepared for food because Our foundation does not have the financial recources to finance all programs
  
  While you teach and share your culture with our community, you'll also get to travel and enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Lombok, Indonesia. Lombok is a beautiful island known for its white sandy beaches, monkey forests, and many other exciting places for travelers. We’re confident you’ll love your time here.

  I will show you around East Lombok on my scooter. We have a lot of sights we can experience! Waterfalls, beaches, mountains, traditional events... My family, friends or other teachers can join us as well and we can explore with a bigger group

  Help

  We’re looking for help from travelers who are willing to volunteer—either as English teachers or as conversation partners. Practicing with native or fluent English speakers is very important for our students to improve their skills and build confidence.

  Suralaga is a district located in East Lombok, you have Kuta,1.5hrs away or the famous Mt Rinjani is 1hr. As well, Suralaga has several small villages and rural communities. The area is mostly known for its agricultural activity and traditional Sasak culture. Suralaga may not be a major tourist destination like Senggigi or Kuta Lombok, but offers a more authentic and local experience of Lombok’s culture, including traditional customs, local markets, and beautiful rural landscapes. You will be the only tourist here, kids and locals will be happy to see you.
  
  From home, there is a small shop next door with snacks and drinks, also, a mini mart 5 minute walk.
  
  You can reach us from Bali by: A) Flying to Lombok Airport (fastest option), B) with local ferry located from Padang Bai Harbour in Bali and drop you off in Lembar Harbour, Lombok appx. 75K RP (cheapest and slower option) or C) fast boat from Sanur Harbour to Senggigi or Bangsal Port.
  
  Experience authentic Lombok. Immerge yourself in our culture and have a wonderful time with the locals. You will stay with my family and we will treat you as part of our family. You will experience local food and I will show you everything that Lombok has to offer.
