A serene grassy meadow stretches toward a forest and mountains. Trees line the left, under dramatic, colorful evening clouds touched by soft pink sunset hues.
Bright sunlight filters through green leaves. A winding stone path cuts through lush, native foliage. In the distance, a dark building sits beneath a scenic mountain.
A modern bedroom with a four-poster bed, tan bedding, soft rugs, floor-length curtains, a large window with scenic views, and a decorative wall piece.
A woman smiles outdoors, taking a selfie on a sunny day. Behind her is a basketball court, green trees, grassy field, and distant blue mountains.
A sunlit grassy field with scattered rocks, grazing cows, a white tent, dense forest in the background, and distant blue mountains beneath a clear sky. Peaceful scene.

    Description

    Hello :)

I'm Brooke, a single mum with a four year old son who is with me 50% of the time. I'm a forest therapy guide, mentor, nature enthusiast, dreamer and adventurer.

The property is 100 acres of pasture and native bush on the edge of the Cathedral Ranges State Park. It's one of my life goals to reforest the land here and open it up for people to experience.

Currently on the land is a family home and plenty of fun activities - basketball, dams for swimming, forest and hills for adventuring and relaxing.

I would love to be able to share this special place with you.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You'll be welcomed into the family home and the rhythum of life out in the Australian countryside/bush. I'll share meals with you and be happy to share all I know about the local area, and great outdoors. I can show you around local bushwalks or take you forest bathing (I'm a Forest Therapy Guide).

You can also pick up skills here in caring for the garden and land. I'm happy to share what horticulture and reforestation knowledge I can.

  • Help

    Help

I am currently looking for help with the large garden around the house and maintenance jobs. If you love gardening or are generally pretty handy at fixing things, there is plenty for you to do here.

Also, if you're skilled in yoga instructing, reiki, massage, breathwork or similar, please reach out, it might be an option to do an exchange with these skills :)

In exchange you'll get a private room and healthy fresh home cooked meals. There are a couple of rooms available.

    Accommodation

Comfortable private room in our house with king size bed. Also an option to sleep out in a glamping tent.

I will provide three meals a day, seven days a week. I like to eat mostly vegetaria, with an emphasis on fresh wholefoods. Happy to accomodate dietary requests. If there are times I am not around for a meal, I will make sure you have supplies left for you.

    What else ...

The property is about a 15 minute drive from the nearest small towns (Buxton and Marysville), and to explore the area there is not convenient public transport. If you are looking for the ability to explore the local area, it will suit people with thier own vehicle best.
