Description
Hello :)
I'm Brooke - a forest therapy guide, mentor, nature enthusiast, dreamer and adventurer. I'm also a single mum with a four year old son who is with me 50% of the time.
The property is 100 acres of pasture and native bush on the edge of the Cathedral Ranges State Park in Victoria.
There is plenty of native wildlife here for you to enjoy, including kangaroos, wombats and birds.
It is a dark sky area and has incredible star gazing opportunities.
Currently on the land is a family home and plenty of fun activities - basketball, swings, dams for swimming, forest and hills for adventuring and relaxing. It's one of my life goals to reforest the land here and open it up for people to experience.
I would love to be able to share this special place with you.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You'll be welcomed into the family home and the rhythum of life out in the Australian countryside/bush. I'll be happy to share all I know about the local area, and great outdoors. I can show you around local bushwalks or take you forest bathing (I'm a Forest Therapy Guide).
You can also pick up skills here in caring for the garden and land. I'm happy to share what horticulture and reforestation knowledge I can.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
I am currently looking for help with the large garden around the house and maintenance tasks. If you love gardening or are generally pretty handy at fixing things, there is plenty for you to do here.
Also, if you're skilled in yoga instructing, reiki, massage, breathwork or similar, please reach out, it might be an option to do an exchange with these skills :)
In exchange you'll get a private room and healthy fresh home cooked meals. There are a couple of rooms available.

Accommodation
Comfortable private room in our house with king size bed. Also an option to sleep out in a glamping tent.
I will provide food for three meals a day, seven days a week. I like to eat mostly plant based, with an emphasis on fresh wholefoods. Happy to accomodate dietary requests.
What else ...
The property is about a 15 minute drive from the nearest small towns (Buxton and Marysville), and to explore the area there is not convenient public transport. It will suit people with thier own vehicle best.
