Description
We are a mixed family of 3 (or 7 with our cats!). Irman is indonesian and currently works remotely in Raja Ampat paradise. Melanie is French and currently busy renovating and creating a lovely home. Ansya is 4 years and loves to danse, anything creative, swim in the river or at the beach, ride her bike and play around in the neighbourhood.
We have bought a local house in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood by the beach that we want to renovate little by little.
We are happy to welcome a volunteer who is willing to give idea and help on renovation and gardening , who would love to take care of Ansya on some mornings / afternoons and help with basic housekeeping. We do think a mix of all this duties would make the routine more enjoyable.
We are located at a walking distance from all commodities and next towns are accessible by bus next to the house. There is also an artist sanctuary next door where you could attend some classes or event. Yoga classes available in the village. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will get the chance to discover indonesian/balinese lifetstyle in a local neighbourhood.
Waking up with roosters and falling asleep with the sounds of the waves.
The neighbourhood is very quiet at night time and very peaceful to leave in. Be ready to enjoy this.
Ansya will be happy to introduce to our neighbours and spend some times with them. You could learn some basics of balinese life, making offerings, preparing for ceremonies and more.
Learn the culture and enjoy living local. It is also a great chance to learn some bacis of bahasa bali and indonesia. All in your hands. -

Help
We are looking for help around the house and tasks will be decided on site depending what need to be done. Help would involve (but not all at once;):
-gardening/ watering plant/ sweeping leaves . We have the vision of making green walls/hanging plants if you are familiar with that. We are trying to plant new flowers and we have started making garden bed to then plant some veggies.
- DIY projects if you have got a specific expertise which could contribute to make our home shines more. We could also experiment together !
-help around the house: If you are up to cook/bake something, the kitchen is fully equipped. Keeping the space clean (applicable to us also!) so it remains enjoyable for all of us living together. Feeding cats eventually.
-creative projects : there are many projects possible and "on the list" ranging from painting, making mosaic, sewing (if you like that!)
-toddler-sitting : on some half/days we will need you to stay with Ansya. That will count in the weekly hours count, indeed.
-anything else which could arise, life is full of surprise ! -
