Description
We are a Danish family living in Canada, Me Anne (31), my husband Adrian (30), our 15 month old daugther and our two very busy border collies Elvis (5) and Dolly (2). We started out as workawayers ourselves 5 years ago here in Canada and we would love to give back to that community now that we are settled.
We could always use an extra set of hands for help with the dogs, crazy small projects, going on hikes, camping and day to day chores.
Adrian works as foreman assistant on a local feedlot and currently training our horse Rodger for work out there too.
I stay at home with the rest of the family and run everything else.
we aim for as much play time as possible!
We love to share stories, learn about other countries and cultures, and make good food.
We try to keep our days simple and slow but filled with joy and fun small things.
We hope to hear from you in the new year!Types of help and learning opportunities

You would have plenty of opportunity to explore the alberta prairie, you could learn camping skills, gardening, dog training and plenty of DIY projects as this is our thing.
We love to use our free time for hiking and go on spontaneous trips to explore, which you could join at any time.Help
we are a busy family with two young border collies that used to work, so help is needed to exercise them and retrain them for town life. so lots of playtime with our dogs.
We have a little 15 months old girl, so often my (annes) hands are tied up to do the proper exercising with them or i can only take one at a time, and they deserve so much more.
they will go back to working in a few years, but my husbands job dont require a dog at the moment. Most days Adrian my husband is gone for 10-12 hours for work, so its just me with a kid and to hyper dogs.
You could help with some daily chores in the house too, so there would be more time for play and go hiking.
Honestly it wouldn't be much to help with other than being my extra set of hands day to day. So expect the days to be slow, and you have time to do your own thing too.
It's great if you come with your own car, as our little town don't offer too much to do in the winter time.Languages spoken

We have a spare room that is just sitting empty, that we would love to offer to other travelers. You would be sharing the rest of the house with our little family. the room can fit 1-2 persons or you are welcome to pitch a tent in our backyard.
What else ...
There is plenty of stuff here to do, its an 25 minute drive in to Lethbridge, 1 hour 45 minutes to Waterton national park, 2 hours to calgary. 1 hour 45 to writing on stone provincial park.
There is a local swimmingpool, lakes to explore, wildlife to see.
We do live in a small town, but there is stuff to do and i go several times a week to Lethbridge where you can come with us if you don't have a car on your own.
