    🏡 Description

Kia ora and welcome to the Gold Coast! I’m a single mum living on the beautiful Northern Gold Coast with my energetic and affectionate 4 year old son. My son has autism with some speech delays and is a loving, cuddly, and happy child who loves dancing and playing with others. My sister and best friend also live on the property in our large dual occupancy. We are looking for someone to become a part of our small extended family and help us with daily routines, especially when I’m working.

I work for emergency services and work an 8 week rotating roster mainly consisting of a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (2 x 12 hour days, then 2 x 12 hour nights then 4 days off). This means your help will mostly be needed during those work shifts. My son attends daycare full time Monday to Friday (typically 9am–4:30pm), so I’m looking for someone who can help with morning and evening routines on my workdays and provide full day care on the occasional weekend when I’m rostered on shift.

💛 Why You’ll Love It Here

We live in a spacious dual-living home with a large yard, fire pit and large music room with pianos, guitars, drum kits and PA system for any music lovers. Our neighbourhood is spacious, friendly and quiet.

You’ll have your own bedroom on our side of the house and share a bathroom with my son. On the other side of the home live my sister and my best friend with her four cats. If you have allergies or not comfortable with pets, our side of the house is pet free. For those who love animals the cats are always available for snuggles.

My son loves having live in aunties who are heavily involved in his life and will still be volunteering to assist with daycare drop offs and bedtime routines while you are around.

We’re a close-knit, multicultural household with Māori, Samoan, and Australian heritage and we proudly embrace neurodiversity, Christian values, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

The Gold Coast is one of Australia's most exciting and beautiful places to live. With stunning beaches, world famous surf, vibrant markets, theme parks, hiking trails, and a relaxed lifestyle, there's always something fun to do in your free time. The public bus network services our neighbourhood giving you access to major shopping centres and the train station. We’re flexible with how you manage your time outside of the key help days and still have some flexibility with the 4 on 4 off roster if you wish to travel a little further on your days off. We are half way between Brisbane and Gold Coast airports.
