    Description

Hi, we are Jack & Faith.

Originally from the Netherlands, but already happy living in Portugal for the last 7 years.

We started out as owners of a Surf House in Santa Cruz, Silveira, but decided to make a big change in our lives.

Now we are the owners of almost 5 hectares of just land, near to Vimeiro, Maceira.
When owning the Surf House we rented the piece of land behind our house to start a regenerative food forrest. Of course this also meant that we could keep more animals! We have three horses, of which two are rescues, three donkeys, two goats and severals chickens. Besides that we have two dogs and a cat.

The plan is to set up simple housing and fencing for our animals and set up a food forrest, vegetable garden area and permaculture.

As we have recently purchased the land, we have to start from scratch. Three domes have been set up, and we are living in one for the time being, the others may be used for Workawayers. We also have a tent and space to put a campervan if needed. Also an outdoor kitchen/bathroom has been fitted, so we have hot water and wifi.

We are looking forward to have you help us plant and evolve our food forrest and vegetable garden!

As we used to own a surf house, we like to combine surfing and working. We live 10 minutes from the ocean and 40 minutes from Peniche and also Ericeira.
We have a nice community around us, so we are happy to involve you in any of activities after work and introduce you to some of our friends.
Jack will be happy to share his knowledge about regenerative agriculture and all his live wisdoms ;))

    What else ...

After work you can go surfing, dirt bike riding, take one of our horses out for a ride. We are living off grid, but always call it off grid light, as the nearest super market is only 5 minutes away by car. There is a bus stop close to us, so you don´t have to depend on a car.
