Description
I am an easy going 55 yr old Welsh lady, a mother and grandmother, with a large global family, who has loved traveling and working herself around the world over the last 15 yrs.
I love to learn new things and love anything creative, innovative and unique Art and architecture. I am currently writting a childrens book surrounding our global issues, with my grandchildren and the children of a Zambian school i was a volunteer teacher at as central characters (so anyone with illustration skills is very welcome 😁) I also love to read and shall over time fill spaces with peacefull reading areas.
My next project as a meditater, therapist and yoga teacher, has a great deal of meaning to me - to turn a beautiful slice of mountain with a sea view in the Algarve, Portugal, into a small eco yoga and meditation retreat, aimed in particular for low wage families and teenagers with depression/anxiety.
I am seeking a native Portugese person with skills in permaculture to work just 2.5 hrs 5 days a week (must speak English), but who wants to stay long term.
A global family of volunteers with Carpentry skills and or permaculture skills are the only volunteers i require at present time (Feb/March start).
The land currently has two containers, with one being a livable space with small kitchen and table. It would be helpful if the volunteer had his/her own tent/van.
There is a toilet, sink and shower housed next to the container.
Electricity and water is used, but i shall be turning off electricity when solar panels are put in place.
The water is currently on a timer to water the lands trees which consist of: figs, grapes, carob, almond, lemon, apples and pears, olive and a walnut.
This is a quiet peaceful space, with a magnificent wide open view of the sea 7 kms away, with another mountain to its left. There are also a few surrounding neigbours and a cafe/restaurant not far, so no one will feel isolated. Also Faro or Ohlio are only about 7kms away also, so near shops, beach, airport etc.
I love to meet new people, so am greatly looking forward to meeting like minded people who desire to live a peaceful harmonious life, and helping others to find their peace.💚.
Lastly - just to clarify - i am here by myself and sometimes will need to work away, so it might be the case that there is only you and i there or even just urself.
I have read over my profile after it was suggested (after i asked) if my profile was misleading. The person suggested it was and would help me correct this.
Unfortunately i never heard from this person again. More importantly when i re-read it, i could see that nothing i said here was misleading - only that i had not added that my land is on 4 tiers.

The travellers will benefit from living and helping in a peaceful, relaxing enviroment.
They can benefit from learning yoga, meditation and healing therapies. Hopefully meeting and enjoying the company of my global family whom have varying skills like art, music, cooking, photography....😍.
I shall have a qualified carpenter joining me next March to help either the workaway qualified carpenter or as a team leader learning someone to deepen and broaden their carpentry skills.

I am seeking a native Enlish speaking Portugese longterm housesitter/s with Carpentry and/or Permaculture skills who will help for 2.5 hrs a day 5 days a week. Workawaying hrs will be flexible until next March when the carpentry work will be more required.
