    Description

Our project is a family-owned and operated nature, adventure and yoga retreat resort that is situated at the edge of the jade-green Nahatlatch River in southwest BC . Our resort is off-grid and approx 2.5 hour drive from Greater Vancouver area and 3 hours from downtown. We offer whitewater rafting, kayaking, scenic float adventures, hiking, yoga retreats and amazing river's edge glamping tents.

We cater to guests from around the world who are looking for an amazing off-the-beaten track setting and world-class adventures for their vacation.

Our resort has received the coveted Traveler's Choice from TripAdvisor for 10 consecutive years placing us among the top 1% of resorts globally in terms of guest reviews and one of a very few adventure-style resorts in Canada that has achieved this award for 10 years in a row.

October 2025 Update: We have fully re-opened and rebuilt many of our key amenities following the 2023 Kookipi Creek wildfire. We do still have some projects to complete in 2026 which will require some staff with carpentry or construction skills. We had a tremendous 2025 season with over 2,000 guests, most who stayed an average of 2-3 nights at our river's edge resort

We will begin our 2026 season on April 15 and for the first 4 weeks our primary responsibilities are to continue our building projects, set up the glamping tents and staff accommodation, organize our kitchen and social areas as we prepare for our first guests in mid-May. Helpers with experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, mechanical, tree pruning and cutting (good with chainsaws) and a number of kitchen and resort helpers with cooking, meal preparation and housekeeping experience to assist with looking after our volunteers, staff, managers and our initial 2026 guests.

From mid-May to mid-September 2026 we will be open for our 4-month summer season and the range of skills required includes certified river guides, certified yoga/wellness instructors, certified massage therapists, head chef, sous chefs, kitchen assistants, reservation assistants, etc. If you have skills and experience in any of these areas/jobs, we would love to hear from you. We are also looking for marketing leaders and these opportunities could begin prior to our opening in mid-April and can continue through our summer season.

Our resort features organic vegetable gardens, relaxation and hammock gardens; private beach, entertainment area with performing stage, dance floor, campfires, hot tub, volleyball, private beach, and several outdoor yoga stages. We will be offering river rafting guide training in May and and early June. Staff and volunteer have access to our adventure and yoga/wellness programs, which is an amazing opportunity for our workaway helpers.

You must have relevant work experience, references and a Canadian SIN number and min 8 week availability for all paid work opportunities.

This is an adventure-style resort and our guests stay 1 to 5 nights in river's edge glamping tents. Our most popular adventures are whitewater rafting on three or more rivers and our yoga adventure retreats. Other adventures include lake kayaking, paddleboarding, wilderness hiking.

Helpers become part of our dedicated team in delivering exceptional customer service to our guests who come from around the world for our amazing rafting , delicious meals and desserts, and our beautiful setting on the edge of a jade-green river.

Depending on skills, helpers will assist with meals, cleaning, maintenance, trip support and building/construction (new glamping tents, decks, other amenities).

We are looking for helpers who are naturally enthusiastic, reliable and willing to put in the extra hand when needed.

We are a non-smoking, non-vaping resort. If you have a vehicle you can drive off-site. Be respectful of the remote and beautiful environment we live in and the dangers of forest fires and other events that may result from careless use of cigarettes and other devices. As a smoke-free resort, we prefer employees that are interested in wellness, fitness, outdoor adventures and understand the importance of guest care in a resort focused on high-quality experiences.

Shared glamping tents with double or twin beds/mattresses, full linens, night stands and wardrobe units are the primary option. We also have 4 larger glamping tents with queen or double beds that are offered on a priority basis to our key managers and assistant managers and may be available. Helpers should bring own sleeping bag and pillow and a personal tent if they would like to get involved in any overnight adventures outside of our place, but not necessary otherwise.

Our prime operating season is May, June, July, August and early September. In April, we need helpers to open our resort and begin our seasonal projects. Helpers enjoy many of the activities right at our resort. Our location is semi-wilderness and we are off the grid, so we live and work in the great outdoors.

Off days will involve relaxing or enjoying outdoor adventures: imagine canyons, lakes, rivers and mountains.......all in our backyard. We do offer unique events such as our songwriting and yoga retreats and summer music entertainment.

We have high-speed Internet and cell coverage, even though our location is off-the-beaten track. Thus, you can stay in touch with friends and family. We can arrange to pick up helpers in Boston Bar BC (17 km from us) and we generally can arrange rides from Hope BC most days (you can take a bus from Vancouver to Hope BC. Transport from the Vancouver area may be offered but not guaranteed.

Given our beautiful, natural setting in the Canadian wilderness and our commitment to health and well-being, our resort is a smoke-free environment. All helpers must respect our smoke-free policy and understand that we all work hard and play hard. Thank you.

Yes, but keep in mind we are off-the-grid and do not have fiber or the high speeds of urban areas. Our proprietary Internet and WIFI system enables most normal business operations and streaming but would not suit gamers, high bandwidth users and those requiring uniformly fast speeds. If you have intensive needs, then our remote location is not ideal. However, if you need daily or weekly Zoom calls with the office or team, standard Internet for emails and streaming then we are an ideal location for you.
