    Description

    Hi! This place is located on an island called Orust on the west coast of Sweden. It's a foundation that aims to promote love, freedom and health in peace with nature. It owns a piece of land where a small community is slowly starting to form. At the moment, there are four people living here all year round (three houses), but more people come to stay at the site in the summer. We host a festival once a year (this year it will be in August), and this summer we had weekly outdoors yoga sessions. We hope to do it again in 2026. There's also been a few other retreats and events at the site, and we hope more is to come.

    We live by a little lake with a sauna, a shared vegetable garden, a field that we're slowly turning into a food forest (we started on the fall of 2024) and a festival area with a newly built stage, surrounded by forrest. All within biking distance to the ocean (we live on an island after all).

    There's a lot of freedom in what can be done here. Creativity is appreciated as long as it goes in accordance with the trusts values (Love, Freedom and Health). So, if you get an idea that would contribute to developing the place, it is welcome! 😊

    Most of the work that needs doing involves gardening, building things (like an outdoors kitchen), general maintenence, cooking shared meals and preparing firewood for the winter.

    For the evenings and the days off, the sauna is free to use, and we know a lot of lovely spots on the island, and the islands surrounding it, if you're up for exploring.

    We would be happy to have you stay with us this upcoming summer! Come as you are. Don't be afraid to contact us. We'll answer as soon as we can. Welcome!

    //Elicia, Micke, Melissa and Nick

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    All of us who live here have travelled a bit of our own, some through workaway, some through other organisations or just as holiday trips. We've seen a bit of the world, but now we want the world to come to us. We like the cultural exchange and all the new perspectives on life that presents. We're open minded and like hanging around other openminded people aswell.

    On this Island, there's a lot of alternative people and sometimes there are music events, or the local vegan kebab-restaurant is open, where it's possible to meet people with a lot of different views, perspectives, lifestyles and thoughts. If any event like that will take place during your stay, you're of course welcome to join!

    A lot of tasks will be done together, but there will also be instances where you'll have to be independent and follow instructions. Most of the people here work full-time jobs, so it's more so the evenings that will be spent together doing tasks.

    The people who live here have interest and knowledge in sewing, crypto, economics, spirituality, gardening and a lot of random topics 😂 We're all interested in learning new things and sharing what we already know. We all try to be genuine and authentic, and so we really appreciate to hang around people who come as they are.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    There's one guest cottage where two guests can sleep. In the summer months, there will also be tipis available to use as accommodations. Bedding will be provided. There's outdoors toilets in the festival area, and we hope to build an outdoors kitchen this upcoming year, but in the meantime it will be possible to cook in two of the houses.

    We will probably be cooking together most of the time, but some of the time (like breakfast) you'll be free to make on your own.

    Food 3 times per day will be provided for. The workawayer will have to make breakfast themselves, but the other meals will mostly be shared, but on occation the meals will have to be cooked by the workawayers themselves.
