Description
I am Rune (27). After finishing my master’s degree in geography back home in Berlin, I am taking a break in between studies and work to do some work&travel in Spain. The last month I volunteered in a hikers’ hostel on Tenerife. Now I am curious to join a new place!

Personally, I am a very active person. So, I enjoy walking around new places, hiking, cycling. I speak German and English fluently, as well as intermediate French and Spanish.

My first volunteering was for a year after high school in a living community for disabled people in Vietnam. Apart from that I have volunteered with migrant kids next to my studies, as well as in an English café, a farm and a hostel.

Chris and Renzo are very nice and welcoming. The communication before was very easy and friendly. They live in a beautiful village in Brittany. I enjoyed our card games and their animals, especially the goats. Unfortunately, I had unexpectedly to leave early, but the two were very understanding.

Rune was due to stay with us for 10 days but unfortunately had to leave after 2 nights due to a family emergency. He is conversational and interesting and the small amount of DIY that we did do, he was happy to help. We wish him the best in the future :)

I stayed with José, Nick and Charlie for three and a half weeks. I had a very good time here. The surroundings are beautiful. The work itself was interesting and I enjoyed it. My tasks changed every couple of days, so it never got boring. I varnished tiles and wood, pruned olive trees, did some cleaning, cut firewood.

I’m happy to recommend Rune, who stayed with us as a workawayer for two weeks. He joined our daily life here in Alfafara, practiced Spanish with us each day, and quickly picked up enough to handle garden tasks and everyday chat. Rune looked after my place while I was away for a week.
He's a lovely guy. Friendly, interesting, respectful and willing to help as much as possible.
He did all the jobs I asked of him, and kept the house safe and kept in touch with me.
