Description
Hello Volunteers ~
Thank you for checking us out!
We are Padris and Pål, a dynamic duo combining backgrounds from Iran, Norway, and Denmark. Together, we’re working on an exciting project in the beautiful South Danish countryside. the property is full of potential and charm, offering a wonderful environment for creativity, collaboration, and connection.
We’re seeking enthusiastic and open-minded volunteers who enjoy being in nature, learning new skills, and contributing to various hands-on projects. This is about creating a space for cultural exchange and shared experiences. If you love to learn, teach, and try new things, we’d love to have you join us!
About us :
Padris: Originally from Iran, I’ve called Norway home for the past decade and recently started spending more time in Denmark. By day, I’m a data engineer, but in my free time, I love gardening, building things, and sharing meals with friends. I’ve had Workaway experiences myself and want to recreate that fun, collaborative energy here.
Pål: I’m a filmmaker from Norway who fell in love with this hilly Danish countryside. I’ve been diving into various property projects, including our latest adventure: a small vineyard! While my winemaking experience is limited to enjoying wine and visiting vineyards, I’m excited to experiment and create some great natural wines.
What We’re Working On:
The property has a lot of ongoing and future projects. Whether you’re into woodworking, gardening, winemaking, photography, have creative ideas, or learning something new, you’ll find plenty to do here!
The Vineyard: We’ve recently acquired a small vineyard with guidance from the previous owners. Our goal is to experiment with natural fermentations and create red, white, and even orange wines. We will be very happy if you have experience in vineyard and you want to share with us other than that you just need curiosity and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
DIY Projects: The property is equipped with a workshop full of tools for woodworking and creative projects.
Gardening: From vegetable cultivation to landscape tasks, there are plenty of opportunities to get your hands in the soil.
Creative Pursuits: Filmmaking, storytelling, and photography are also passions we’d love to share and explore together.
About the Property:
The home is nestled in the countryside near the charming coastal town of Faaborg. It’s surrounded by rolling hills, big oak trees, and a landscape once favored by painters. The house itself is a bit special—it was designed by the renowned Danish architect family, the Utzons. Volunteers will have their own private space with a separate entrance, a bathroom, and a small kitchen for convenience. We’re about 45 minutes from Odense and two hours by car from Copenhagen.
What You Can Expect:
This is a place for cultural exchange, learning, and shared experiences. A typical day might include doing tasks together on a project in the morning, taking a break to bike through the countryside, and finishing with a shared meal and lively conversations.
We always eat dinner together and enjoy cooking up memorable meals. If you have a dish from your country that you’d like to share, our kitchen is open to you!Types of help and learning opportunities

We like people! A good way to connect is often by doing something meaningful together. A really good day here might start on a project outside—whether it's a DIY endeavor, gardening, or something creative—and end with sharing a delicious meal, engaging in lively discussions about interesting topics. Dinner is always a shared experience for us. If you love to cook, you’re welcome to take some space in the kitchen and prepare a dish from your country—we’d be thrilled to try it!
In our household, we bring diverse expertise and interests. We have expert knowledge in storytelling, filmmaking, data engineering, and project management. Our energy often goes into various hands-on DIY projects, ranging from woodworking and mechanics to gardening and vegetable cultivation. If you're interested, we can also do training sessions together or explore the area on bikes for a fun and active way to connect with nature.
Culturally, Pål draws from his Scandinavian heritage, while Perdis brings influences from Persian culture. We both share a deep love of books, travel, and a wealth of life experiences that we’re excited to share with others. There’s always something new to learn or discuss here.Help
We are looking for enthusiastic and open-minded individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute their skills and ideas. Whether you’re experienced or simply eager to learn, your energy and creativity are welcome here!
Our goal is to share our philosophy of community and a brighter future with visitors seeking their own truth. We are a not-for-profit, intentional community focused on fostering a "gifting" culture rather than monetary exchange, striving to live with an abundance mindset by sharing time, energy, and resources.
We spend our days building, designing, landscaping, caring for animals and enjoying nature. Of course, we all keep the place clean, tidy and prepare meals daily, on top of the working day projects.
Our current projects include:
Helping on our wine project: cutting vine stocks, harvesting, pressing grapes, bottling, and of course, tasting!
Finalizing the construction of our sauna/spa building.
few projects of carpentry.
Improving the chicken house and reestablishing herbs and vegetable garden.
Various woodworking and creative DIY projects.Languages

Volunteers have their own private space with a separate entrance, a bathroom and a small kitchen. There is also a basic private gym in the garage. There is the opportunity to stay in the Tipi. If you prefer bringing your own tent that is also possible, of course.
What else ...
In their time off, volunteers can explore the beautiful surroundings of Faaborg, including its charming harbor, local museums, and scenic hiking trails. The area is known for its picturesque nature, with opportunities to visit the nearby archipelago by ferry.
volunteers can also enjoy the cozy town atmosphere with cafes, shops, and cultural landmarks. For transportation, there are buses connecting Faaborg to other towns, and biking is a popular way to get around the area. If you’re interested in relaxation, the property provides a peaceful environment to unwind or explore creative projects.A little more information
