    Description

We are father & son (Benni and Linus), living in an old house in in the beautiful Eifel national park since 2021. Linus's Mother Krista doesn't live here any more, but comes visiting most days of the week to keep the connection to Linus. One of my big time consumers and pleasures is the semi wild garden, with lots of nice places to spend sunny days, and of course lots of rewarding work waiting to be done.
The area we planted with vegetables is currently about 100sqm (which we plan to expand in the coming year), and around that are are growing 4 apple trees, 1 plum tree, 1 cherry plum, 1 young cherry tree and several raspberry, currant, gooseberry and blueberry bushes. For some eyes, the garden may look unruly und wild, but that is exactly what we aim for: a vibrant, living, colorful oasis full of wild herbs, edible plants, butterflies, song birds, bees, ...

There are always smaller projects in the house or in the garden, which pop up as soon as old ones are done, and which are too numerous to list here. Help in the house is always very welcome, and is more than enough to earn your stay here with us.

New projects and ideas are sure to emerge over time...

What we really are looking for is getting to know fascinating people from all around the world, which is so very rewarding in itself!

The house is very close to the Rursee (2km distance to Sandstrand Eschauel) at 350m above sea level. The National Park Eifel is also very close and easy to reach, also by bike. Forests and meadows lie in all directions of our village, and picturesque small towns with old castles etc.. There are many very beautiful trails for hiking and cycling in the area (e-bicycles are available and can be used to explore the countryside).
We will gladly share our skills in every possible way, and look forward to learn new ways of thinking and doing things from our guests.
