Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Oaxaca is honestly such a special place—
full of culture, color, and good energy. 🌿✨
You’ll never run out of things to do: there’s always something beautiful to discover in and around the city, and let’s be real… Oaxaca has arguably the best food in all of Latin America. 😋
I will love to show you how to cook some traditional Oaxacan meals—the kind you can actually recreate at home later, wherever you are. And the fun doesn’t stop in the kitchen: there are amazing craft villages to explore, incredible Zapotec and Mixtec ruins (pre-Hispanic history!), colonial churches with that old-world vibe, great restaurants, etc
Plus, you’ll get to enjoy the city’s heart: the Zócalo—and all the delicious street food that comes with it. the whole oaxaca vibe).
And if you’re more into staying active, we can totally do that too— you can join me to training at the pool, maybe track sessions, some days climbing at the crag or even mountain time like mtb ⛰️ or hiking. there ar tons of things to do...
Basically: whether you’re into food, culture, exploring, or fitness… Oaxaca has it all. -
Help
Hi folks! 🌿
First of all, thank you so much to all the previous workawayers who helped us create, improve, and bring life to this little farm. We’re truly grateful.
Now it’s time to evolve. We’re looking for volunteers who can stay at least 1–2 weeks, and who would like to be part of something growing—both the farm and the experience we share here.
What we need help with (right now)
This moment requires support in a few key areas, especially:
• Advertising & social media marketing (most important): help us reach more people and bring guests to enjoy our cooking classes and farm experience
• Social media content & outreach
• A bit of design experience and Squarespace knowledge (helping improve our website is a big plus)
We’d love to improve the website and make everything—especially social media—more welcoming and effective, so more guests can discover and share this beautiful project.
Farm help
You can also help around the farm, depending on the season, with things like:
• organic growing / spinach farming / permaculture
• seeding, transplanting, watering
• feeding & cleaning animals
We currently have: 8 goats, 1 donkey, lots of chickens, ducks, and rabbits—and our family is always growing!
We also have 3 dogs and 3 cats—so yes, it’s a real farm community.
Cooking classes
You may also assist during our cooking classes—helping prep, setup, and supporting our day-to-day flow.
A flexible plan together
Because everything is small-scale production and varies by season (sometimes even starting from scratch), we’ll create a schedule that works for both sides, based on your skills and our needs.
If you feel like this would be a good fit, we’d be so happy to hear from you. 🌱✨ -

What else ...
there are tons of activities around Oaxaca—and honestly, it’s got a little bit of everything, so you can do what you’re really into.
If you love:
• culture and local vibes
• learning Spanish (or practicing your English)
• museums, galleries, restaurants
• outdoor fun and exploring
• cooking and food experience
• or just having a genuinely cool time
…you’ll feel right at home
And if you’re into being active, Oaxaca is even better:
climbing, swimming, running, mountain biking, and trips to explore the best spots around. With the amazing mountains all around, every day can turn into an adventure.
We’re pretty sure you’re going to love it.
