Description
Hey there! My name is Andrew and I am from the Hudson River Valley, about 1 hour north of New York City. I grew up in the suburbs with two loving parents, two older siblings, three cats, and a golden retriever. After high school, I attended West Virginia University and studied Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources. In university I discovered a strong love for Mother Earth, live music, meaningful friendships, community, healthy whole foods and where they derive from, cooking, and road trips/traveling. After university, I did my first work exchange (WWOOF) on a small scale organic farm/bakery in Vermont. It was one of the most powerful and beautiful experiences of my life. Since then, I have been traveling, volunteering, and working seasonal jobs. Also, I recently travelled to India and completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher training with an emphasis in Hatha and Yin styles! I am extremely interested in learning more about organic farming, permaculture practices, living off the grid, self-sustainability, animal and livestock care, preserving/canning, sourdough bread making, foraging wild foods, mindful and respectful hunting/fishing, intentional community living, etc.
I’m Paola, a 30 year-old from Mexico, traveling with an open heart and a deep love for nature, connection, and meaningful experiences. I used to work in the tech world, but becoming a mother changed the way I see life. It made me slow down, cherish nature, and want to be consciously part of it. I’m now choosing a more grounded path — one that’s connected to the Earth, to community, and to the present moment. I’m passionate about sustainable and mindful living, and I’m eager to learn more about permaculture, ecological projects, natural building, and growing food. I love spending time outdoors, helping with animals, gardening, cooking healthy food, and creating calm spaces where people feel at home. People often describe me as warm, reliable, and thoughtful. I really value communication, kindness, and being fully present in what I do. I’m hoping to join hosts who care about the Earth and who appreciate sharing knowledge, good food, and genuine moments.
We met during the pandemic winter of 2021 in Tulum, Mexico at a traditional Mayan fire ceremony. We are continuing to grow and mature as a couple and also as individuals, structuring our relationship on honesty, kindness, clear communication, love and simply taking care of each other. On July 24, 2023 our daughter Lea entered this earth. She is a brilliant, shining light in our lives who continues to challenge and bless us through our converging life paths. Lea adores animals, especially horses and dogs. She loves being outside and has become quite the little forager collecting acorns, hickory nuts, sticks, and rocks. Lea loves food…particularly apple oat pancakes, berries, cherry tomatoes, cheese, and bread!
