Description
Hello! I'd love to invite you to my house in the Netherlands. I'm Benne, 21 years old, and after traveling and staying at workaway addresses, I am now in a position to invite people. I want to establish a community place and could use some extra hands for making art pieces, a flower garden, a stage for artists/musicians, a space for the audience, a bar, and more. My last travel was on a bike from the Netherlands to Morocco, where I met many great people. I sometimes miss that experience, but I hope by inviting you to my place, we can bring the travel spirit to my own town.
I have 4 brothers and lovely parents. My parents initiated the creation of a neighborhood center close to where I live. We're all involved. It's a centre with a 'pay what you want' restaurant, woodwork place, garden team, sewing team, and more. Our dream is to foster more connection between people in our neighborhood. Living life together can be wonderfull. We hope that through our efforts, people bloom, and so does the city of Assen.
Now that I have my own place (Anti Squadron), I would love to create a space for creative souls, inviting people from the neighborhood to share and enjoy life together. It would be great if you want to join!
I have more then enough space, you'll have your own bedroom.
It is a non-profit organization. The project I am working on in my own backyard is fueled by passion, recognizing the powerful impact a community space can have.

I'll show you Assen; there is a lot of nature all around and hunnebedden. People from all cultures help at here. I can teach you about the history of this area and take you on a metal detector adventure in search of old items if you'd like.
Napoleon's brother used to live here (back then, he was the king of Holland). He liked it so much that he wanted to build a big palace and even made far-fetched drawings of building a French city here. However, Napoleon recalled him due to financial problems, and it never happened. The Assenaren once got him drunk and had him sign the papers granting this place city rights.
