Description
We are a young family of 4 creating our permaculture homestead and ecovillage in the same time.
We are located in the picturesque Gauja National Park with beautiful nature trails nearby. Therefore our homestead is surrounded by nature and peacefulness. However, two vibrant and cozy cities (valmiera and Cesis) are just 15 kilometers away, giving us the perfect balance of city-country life.

UN sustainability goals this host is trying to achieve
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We will show the permaculture methods used at our place (sun trap garden, crater garden, storing of hay, scything). We can teach how to design and plan your own homestead.
Workawayer will be integrated in our daily life with all the benefits according to weather (visitng of lake, trips to city), therefore good fit with children is necessary.
Help
We will do mulching, harvesting and weeding. We will fix and beautify the wood branch fence, cut branches, collect firewood, and most likely do all these activities with children around and being involved as well since they love to take part in everything.

Accommodation
Accomodation is located around 1 kilometer from the garden.
Old house with modest conditions, clean and safe. A separate room will be available. Outside toilet. Shower in the house. There is a good internet access at the site of accomodation.
The guest will eat all meals together with our family.

Smoking and use of alcohol is prohibited at all times during the stay.
