Description
We are a foundation located in Nijmegen, close to the German-Dutch Border. We are a group of 12 friends (+ 1 baby) living together in this off-grid, alternative cultural community.
We build everything with our own hands: almost everything is DIY, made with up-cycling materials and prioritising low impact practices. We live in tiny houses, trailers and other movable (nomadic) houses.
The main focus of the help will be on maintaining and improving the terrain, gardens and facilities. We sometimes organize and host events, activities and workshops. We like to receive different volunteers with different back grounds and experiences.
An independent mindset and own initiative for projects, skill sharing and personal development is highly recommended for this position.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Travellers can learn how to do things autonomously and independently. They can also learn about gardening, landscaping and a little bit of farming. Also, they can learn practical skills related to painting, or maintenance, or building, or connecting solar panels for example.
We spend time together with cooking and eating together, campfires, music, watching movie, etc.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

You will have your own tiny house, or camper. If not, a tent will be provided. A bicycle can be provided too for you own transport.
We have an open equipped kitchen and weekly we get food supply from 3 sources: delivery of vegetable from a local farm, donation of long lasting food and waste food from nearby supermarket. We normally cook together on different days every week, at least 3 times a week, and all the days volunteers can cook for themselves or join our collective dinners in case someone from us is cooking. What else ...
The city around us is pretty beautiful and full of life! You can explore the nature areas and also the city center as much as you want.
