Joe looked after Hugo for us and we were really happy with him. Joe is trustworthy, easy going and respectful of the house. He was very flexible with our comings and goings and a great companion and walker for Hugo. They both enjoyed an odd trip to the pub - Hugo's favourite hang-out.

I had a wonderful couple of weeks with Hugo. He is the sweetest of dogs and a joy to look after. Very low maintenance with some nice walks locally and a brilliant pub in the village. Mia & Noel were incredibly flexible and generous with me and it was great to educate them both about the greatest sport in the world... Test match cricket. 😉

He gave him ample walks and pub time too, Hugo is a local at the pub - his favourite hang-out :-) Joel embraced community life in a small village by chatting with neighbours and I think that makes the experience more fun. Mia and Noel are excellent hosts.
The bedroom and all facilities are warm and comfortable and I felt immediately st home there.
Thry picked me up with very little fuss, and often offered lifts and directions to where I might go.
I personally hit a little wall when I arrived there, and in the end was not very sociable for the times they were around

I felt bad for that, because they are very sociable people.
However, they never made me feel bad for it, even though I obviously came down with a virus.
We shared food sometimes, and all engagements with them were very pleasant.
Hugo, of course, is an absolute sweetie, and I enjoyed our walks and cuddles very much.
Thank you Mia, Noel and Hugo for opening your home to travellers of all kinds.
It's a nice opportunity to experience rural village life in the beautiful county of Kilkenny.
Kilkenny city is a must visit, of course. And now there is a regular bus service.

Kacka and I spent five weeks staying at Noel and Mias house looking after Hugo. Noel and Mia were wonderful hosts. We arranged the Workaway roughly a month in advance of our arrival in Ireland and they kept in contact throughout this period.
We arrived a few days prior to them leaving and they showed us around the local and nearby areas, other
… read more places of interest, introduced us to their neighbour and left a helpful guide with all the other information we needed. In effect they provided us with everything required for our stay. They kept in good contact with us while they were away and were always available in case we needed anything.
Hugo was a delight to look after. A small dog with a big personality. We will miss watching him chase after squirrels, and the walks and cuddles with him.
The local area itself is small but has everything you need, and it is only a short drive to the nearby town, which has some lovely walks and lots of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
We highly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Noel and Mia as hosts. All the best and thanks again for having us.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Paul and Kacha stayed with us for 6 weeks in Ireland. They looked after our dog and our house while we were away travelling.
Everything went very smoothy. There was good communication before they arrived. They then stayed with us for two days before we left. Then we left for 6 weeks.

… read more walks. They also looked after our house. There was regular communication throughout. Everything was in order when we arrived back and they even left us a welcome home present. Our neighbors also reported that they were friendly throughout.

Franzi was a perfect match for us and Hugo. She expressed interest on Workaway after which we had a video chat where she proved she was a good candidate for looking after Hugo. We had 2-3 days with Franzi before departure to show her around the area and felt secure in trusting her to be alone in our home for 6 weeks.

… read more Hugo was so well looked after and even brought on a road trip with Franzi where she sourced dog friendly accommodation. There was communication throughout our trip and our house was perfectly looked after as Franzi is clean, quiet-living and respectful.
