Description
Hello, Ann and Charl live in beautiful scenic Akaroa, Banks Peninsula New Zealand. This is in the French part of the township, with our two cats Kanuka and Manuka.plus Whisky and Luna our dogs, plus of course our chooks goldfish plenty of beautiful New Zealand native bird life on the 7 acre property too. Possibly too.we can get you.out to see the famous Akaroa Peninsula Hector dolphins
Please talk to us while staying for a good discount on the fantastic trip/ voyage on a lovely day. Charl can organise this for you.
This is a very special Olde World property with a range of English, French and New Zealand Native gardens and bush, with roses, camellias, rhododendrons galore on a special large 5 acres of NZ native garden, with the Balguerie beautiful stream running through our beautiful property. There is a bush track right on the property within the heart of Akaroa. We strive to be as organic and green as possible with the the property, the gardens and vegetable garden iwith the chooks that lay our own eggs. The property has beautiful surroundings with bush across the inner township it is very special, so central in Akaroa township with no need for a vehicle at all for your stay here, with all so close and within ease of walking it's 3 mins to most amenities within the township and further you can explore, with walking tracks and the nature and the harbour and ocean all around us here in Akaroa.

ALL IS VERY CLEAR AND EXPECTATIONS ON THIS PROFILE. WE DO 5HRS A DAY 5 DAY WEEK STARTING AT 9ISH IN THE MORNING. You.are your timekeeper, no issue stopping for lunch, then back with finishing for the day around 2.30. There is so much to explore in and around Akaroa and the Bays. Dinner Ann and Charl do love you helping out with your cpuntries cuisine too 😋 if you do need added food supplies to do your dish generally available at our local supermarket the 4Square. -

Living with Ann and Charl learning the Kiwi culture our Kiwi cuisine that Ann is recognised for you all love with her home cooking. Our favorite Kiwi roast meals, barbecues..... great Kiwi food...
Seafood from the harbour too. You can even catch it yourself.
We are both too happy for you to cook your own country's identity special cuisine meal too..... -
Help
All types of help appreciated at the moment firewood help some semi lifting of firewood is a must for the winter storage gardening, bush track work, sorry but we do have weeds and weeding too, building any maintenance help is helpful, generally all types of help, you are fit and capable/able to work alone too please, under minimal supervision once you are shown what to do. It is expected a full 5hrs help a day 5x days of the week on a minimum 7 days or 1 week please. PLEASE NOTE 5HRS A DAY IS EXPECTED.... we stay upstairs down to have breakfast, then commence help by 9am at the latest so you can enjoy the area, then you have most of the afternoon for your own time to enjoy and expore.

Accommodation
Accommodation is a fully upstairs independent bedroom plus your own bathroom only for yourselves downstairs.
All linen towels and morning robes are available.
We do expect you please on your last morning to clean your bedroom plus get your linen washing down to the laundry 1st in the morning please. -

FINDING PROPERTY
It is in very central Akaroa with the beach and township just 3mins walk away, you never need a car everything is so accessible in Akaroa township
There is plenty of travel/shopping/supermarket with the library for your own internet as well.unlimited free access available, external library is open weekdaonly 10mins walk away, the tourist sites to view ys all is on our backdoor, with many central walking tracks within the property boundary to explore daily. The address is 59 Rue Lavaud, come up behind the NPD service station right up the back.by the storage sheds on the right you will find a entrance . Or the other access driveway is 15a up Rue Balguerie up from the Museum on the corner walk 50mtrs and down the shingle metal driveway 2nd on the right. Walk in and over the footbridge Balguerie stream. We have two entrances for your option. . -

The took us in over Christmas and treated us like family.
During our stay they were really busy which means you have to be able to work by yourself.
They appreciated all our help and work was most of the time around the garden and partly support with their B&B business.
