Hello and welcome! We’re a young family of four living in beautiful Victoria, Canada, and we're excited to invite you to join us for a fun and rewarding backyard project in October. We're friendly, open, and love learning from others. We offer a welcoming environment, shared meals, and a flexible work schedule, leaving you plenty of time to explore the island. Our home offers a rich cultural exchange experience. You’ll be included in daily life and invited to join us for hikes, beach outings, and relaxed gatherings. We live in a friendly community where it’s easy to meet locals and experience Canadian life.
We’re happy to share our knowledge of landscaping, basic building, and gardening, and we love working together on hands-on projects. You'll also get a chance to experience life with young children!

Help
Our main task is building an 8x10’ shed that will serve as extra storage and a small workspace. We have a plan in place and some experience with DIY projects, but we’d really appreciate an extra set of hands—especially someone with building or carpentry skills, though it’s not required.
Gardening help—like weeding, planting, and pruning—is also appreciated. If you enjoy hands-on work, we’d be happy to have you!

Accommodation
We offer comfortable and private accommodation in a cabin located on our property. The cabin has a queen-sized bed, a desk for reading or working, a kitchenette for preparing snacks or light meals, and a full bathroom. While you’ll have your own space to unwind, you’re warmly invited to join our family in the main house for shared meals and conversation.
