Description
2 years ago I started building with help of some locals, a tiny home in the woods of Honduras, in a town called Siguatepeque (more specifically in a village called El Achiote). With the help of some workaways, it has gotten into a beautiful relaxation spot. It has a deck with a magnificent view of some hills full of pines forest, also ideal for long hikes, there is a creek 10 minutes walking. Siguatepeque is located in the center of Honduras, connected by the CA-4 road (the one which connects all Central America). The home is finished, but there is a plot of land next to it, where to build something nice. We are in the designing (ideas or sketches) phase. Hence, we are looking for someone creative who loves architecture or does architecture already, for sketching some ideas on what could be added (like extra rooms, or a play/social area, a dorm or an open studio). We don't ask for any professional drawings done, just some bright ideas on paper.
Please check out the workaway calendar for availability, will keep it very updated.

You will enjoy Central American living, a sunny yard, a good deck, pool, learn more spanish, we can practice every evening if you ask me and I can recommend you the best spots in the country, if we have time we can go to the waterfalls, lake kayaking or beach together
In your time off you can either explore Siguatepeque (there are some nice pools 5 minute walk from the lodges and a small river/creek 20 min walk) or explore the country itself, there are nice beaches around (Tela), big rivers (Rio Cangrejal river rafting), close to the wood cabins you will find the waterfalls (Pulhapanzak) and lake Yojoa where you can do kayaking and explore some natural reserves, the Bay Islands (Utila and Water Cay). With me, you can go to some breweries (in San Pedro Sula) play card games/board games, netflix, laugh :) drink rum, chill, talk about life or marathon series and definitely craft beers. And if you teach me an awesome local meals from your country, I will thank you so much :DHelp
Siguatepeque is a newcoming city which is growing at a fast speed recently, the center counts with multiple cafes, small restaurants like forno pizzerias, good sushi and good food, great supermarkets and lots of lovely spots. The tiny home site is located in a village called Achiote, 7 minutes drive from the main road and like 12 minute drive to the city center of Siguatepeque, a bus runs down and up to the center every couple of hours, in the city center there is everything.
Bear in mind that the place is not a touristic hotel/lodge, that there is no other "staff" involved .Languages

Have been learning German, so if you would help me with some language exchange, that would be amazing.Accommodation
You would stay in a double bed with fan and cozy bedding. Basic groceries for some meals will be provided for working days. A fully equipped kitchen is to your disposition.
The site has a beautiful fireplace area, an outdoor kitchen, a very big yard, two cabins (one big for family and a small one for guests), electricity, water tank, rain collection and direct running water, outdoors solar paneled lights, a nice plunge pool for sunny warm days, a parking area. Really good wi-fi, a projector with big screen, tv, table games and an amazing starred sky in the nights.
The weather in Siguatepeque is warm/sunny during the days (sometimes tropical mild rain for a couple of hours during the rainy season), always around 15-20Celcius during the night, good blankets are provided.
To arrive to the tiny home area: contact me so we can arrange to either meet in SPS and go together to the lodge site, or I can give you the address and meet there. We need to text about where to meet. What else ...
Things you can do on your own: hikes around the area, follow up the creek, explore the city center which would be a hitchhike away or a chicken bus away, you can kayak on Lago de Yojoa 45 minutes away from San Pedro Sula or 30 minutes away from the cabins site (and the nice Pulhapanzak waterfalls), also Rio Cangrejal, which is in a jungle area and you can river raft there, 3 hours away from San Pedro sula and 20 minutes away from the ferry spot in la Ceiba where you take the Utila island ferry
