    Description

    Hi!

We are Liisa and Luuc and have become workaway hosts in 20216 after years of working abroad ourselves in West Africa and Sweden. Now we both have recently moved back to Sweden again to start a new renovation and house building project!

We live on 2 locations close to each other; one being a farm with 2,5 hectares of land and the other being a lake side property, both on the countryside north of Stockholm. We live there with our daughter Saga (7 years old) 2 dogs, 2 horses and (hopefully soon again) chickens! Although we are no longer married, we still work together on our building projects and host workawayers together.

We are starting a new project focusing on renovation, building new houses and do forestry work. Next to this we are are planning a garden with organic food production and occasionally we embark on fun sustainability projects.

We are English speaking households and have both lived as expats for many years during which we made many friends across the globe. We really enjoy to meet other people from around the world and sharing our lives with workawayers like you will be a great way of continuing that.

You will be having your own bedroom in an apartment next to Luuc's house where you might be sharing your bathroom/kitchen en communal rooms with other workawayers. Sometimes we also host an au pair and usually have other workawayers around. Our location is surrounded by countryside and nature but very well connected to the airport, Stockholm and Uppsala by public transport.

We are looking for people that can help us out with:
    - Renovation and building projects and maintenance indoors and outdoors
    - Help setting up and maintaining the farm
    - Take care of the dogs, horses and chickens (and any other animals that might show up)
    - Take care of the property and sometimes housesit.

If you enjoy horse riding it would be great if you would ride our horses as they need the exercise! And our dogs are always up for (and in need of) a walk through the forest!

If you are keen to stay with us for a while or would like to know more about what we offer and what we expect from you, or any other question of course, then give us a shout! We like getting to
know our workawayers so we prefer them to stay for at least a month or more:)

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Luuc & Liisa

We brew our own beer, sometimes bake our own bread and generally like to learn to do as many things ourselves as possible, so you can learn this with us if you like. Also the sampling of the brew is very important! We will be setting up an organic vegetable garden including hops and fruit trees and work with horses, sheep and chickens. We will mainly be doing renovation and construction, maintenance, forestry etc etc, so a very varied range of activities.

  • Help

    Help

Next to taking care of our animals, we need help with indoor and outdoor renovation and maintenance. No great skills needed, as long as you know your way with tools a bit (the rest we look up on YouTube!)

It would be a plus if you know horses a bit and want to regularly ride them. They would love (and need) the exercise and the surroundings here are great for rides..
