WELCOME TO MY PROFILE!

I'm Santi, a 25 years-old girl who loves venturing in knowing new countries and people, living new experiences while I contribute in helping who need it. This summer I would like to spend some weeks helping in a sustainable proyect in Portugal :)

I started to use Workaway some years ago: when I was 18, I took a trip as a workawayer with a friend of mine to a small village near Dublin, Ireland, doing DIY and construction tasks during a month with other volunteers.
Then, the summer after I finished my degree in Biochemistry in Spain, I did a Workaway volunteering again and I spent 3 months travelling around The Netherlands, staying with different hosts and helping them with different proyects: gardening, animals care (sheeps, horses and chickens mainly) and also building and painting proyects.

All those experiences have taught me not only a lot about useful work skills in different fields, but also a lot about people and humanity, and I love it.

With regards to my personality, I’m open-minded and respectful and I consider myself an easy-going girl. I’m able to adapt to new situations, new meals and different ways to live, and if I don’t know how to do some work, I would be glad of learning it :)

Since I have experience in Workaway volunteering, I have been involved in different types of proyects so I have some experience in DIY, painting, gardening and animal care. I recognized that I am not a professional at those fields at all, but I think that my strenght is my active attitude and my eager to learn and contribute working.

Also, I consider myself as a strong and athletic girl and I don't mind getting my hands dirty.

It is worth mentioning that I have lived alone independently so I know how to do all the housework. I consider myself clean, tidy and responsible, and also I can try to cook some typical Spanish meals :)
