Description
In the south of the Netherlands, in the province of Limburg, close to Maastricht, you will find my beautiful old estate, overlooking the river Maas.
On this estate there are three huge buildings, a big private garden and a park, open to the public.
It is my goal to beautify all of this and I would like to welcome people from all over the world to help turn it into a small paradise.
I am a retired agricultural engineer who has travelled to many places on this globe. I speak fluent English, German, Dutch and our local dialect. As a big nature lover, I love flowers and animals. I am a sociable guy, who is looking to get in touch with nice people on this platform.
Within one hour you can reach the cities of Brussels, Düsseldorf and Eindhoven. I live close to both the Belgian and the German borders, and by train you can visit most of the Netherlands easily.Types of help and learning opportunities

I lived a long and adventurous life, so I am happy to share about my experiences. The estate is situated in a nice countryside, where you can make long walks and bicycle tours. In the weekends you can easily reach the cities nearby with lots of museums, festivals, pubs.. For everyone there is something to experience in the area.
Help
The help mainly consists of gardening: weeding, pruning, composting, and wood chopping. There are also tasks like painting, housekeeping, decorating, carpentry, construction, DIY and more things that need to be looked after.
I strive to find tasks that fit you best. I prefer things to be done properly and with love and tender care, more than done in a hurry.
I would like to instruct you when necessary about gardening and other tasks. I enjoy working with nature lovers, but I myself have other duties to attend too. So it would be great if you can work on your own as well.Languages

A private room in a separate building with all facilities at your disposal, like a bath, a shower, toilet, kitchen, and living room . There is a good WIFI connection as well, just no television.
What else ...
You can enjoy the peace, the quiet and the beautiful starry sky at night. Take a stroll through the valley, visit different villages and towns in the area where you can have delicious ice cream or our famous pastries. Once again, public transport is great in the Netherlands, there is a bus stop nearby that connects the village with the train station, from where you can see the rest of the Netherlands in the weekend.
