  I have lived in Brazil for more than 30 years and I continue to enjoy this country very much, both the beach and the interior. Books are important companions, besides painting, hiking, animals. Our house on the countryside is a place where we can return again and again. This place of retreat, far from the traffic and the commotion of civilization, I would like to share with other people.

  In the Mantiqueira Mountains at an altitude of 1700 m,
  between Camanducaia and Gonçalves, the fresh air is guaranteed.
  On clear nights the sky is very star filled.
  The house is located in a region focused on ecotourism, organic agriculture and sustainability.
  
  There are some trails that leave directly from the house.
  In the wider neighborhood you can meet interesting people.
  
  We both speak several linguages and we have travelled a lot and lived abroad. We also like conversation.

  Help

  In the country house with large grounds we need help in building protects, various works in and around the house and with animals. In case of absence of the house inhabitants, the animals need attention and food. The chickens need to be taken care of in the morning and in the evening. The meals are prepared together or individualy.

  Accommodation

  You will have a small room at your disposal in the house. A bathroom is shared. A large living room with fireplace in winter and a large veranda with hammock. Around the house a flower garden.
  
  There are two kitchen. We can share the kitchen. You can cook your meals independently or we can share the cooking. If you wish it, there is an independent kitchen avaliable. As the town is relatively far, you would better buy everything you need like medicaments etc. your favorite chocolate, fruit etc. You will have acess at the garden with what vegetebales and fruits grows in the season and to the basics like rice, oat, flour etc.

  What else ...

  You will be in a very quiet, secluded place. There is no public transportation. The nearest small town is 7km away and the nearest bigger town is about 25 km away. ( earth road). However, there are people in the neighborhood that you can go with, though you will have to be somewhat felxible. If you need a lot of contact, it is not the right place for you. But if you want to retreat a bit, love nature and animals it is the right place.
  As the town is relatively far, you would better buy everything you need like medicaments and special food necessity.

  Internet ist not fantastic, a little bit slow, but it works good the most of time. My work is on-line and I can give classes and record them and do translations.

  We have enough place for campervans. The question is that we are 25km erarth road from town. So make sure you feel good with that.

• 

  Can possibly accept pets

  We have cats, chickens and a dog and a cow. If your pet is ok with them and doesn't hurt them it is ok for us.
