Within the borders of Amsterdam, in the largest natural landscape in the city is a collective that maintains over 90 hectares of green land. We can connect you to a variety of green projects in the area.

Travellers get to enjoy the vibrant city of Amsterdam plus a nature retreat at the same time. Our green collective lies in the middle of 700 hectares of rural land within Amsterdam postcode and there are many farms of all kinds.

Help with general site support across buildings and outdoor/nature areas. Contributions can include a mix of upkeep, organization, and outdoor projects (including gardening), depending on the person’s strengths. Horse knowledge is welcome.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in cosy caravans or very large independent tents at a camping place. You may also bring your own caravan or tent. In the colder months, accommodation is in a private room in a shared house.
Shared toilet, showers and kitchen. Camping experience is a big plus. You can borrow a bike to get around.
Meals are included. Vegetarian and non vegetarian. Special food is at your own expense. We are a friendly transient community that respects your time and encourage independence. Everyone is free to choose to organise and join meals/ gatherings or cook at their own times.
What else ...
Only looking for people who are there for the experience and therefore committed for 4-5 hours a day and *do not* have another job (requiring physical presence). Not really suitable for families with toddlers or babies.
The space is very quiet at night. Wireless internet is available (not super fast). Amsterdam center is a few kilometers away.

No doubt the best ever, They are really kind, i cant stop imagining the family in my mind.
How kind and friendly they were and how we passed the summer days there.

Without doubt Patricia was one of the best camp counsellors we ever had. She is responsible, dedicated, organized, and super caring, loving and fun! Kids swarmed around her and loved her so much. We were delighted with her presence and will welcome her with open arms again any time she wants. We already miss you Patricia!

I was camp counsellor for the last five weeks and it was a time filled with joy, happiness and love. Every day was full of new adventures, games, art and crafts, nature excursions and happy children. Volunteering here gave me a lot of energy and new inspiration. It feels like my second home, thank you for this amazing experience!
