Description
Hi! Welcome to New Zealand! We are looking for a couple to come and stay in our fully self contained caravan which is parked next to its own private beach in the corner of our 10 acre coastal beach property in Northland. There is snorkeling and kayaking right from your doorstep :) lots to do in this beautiful area.
We are busy turning our property back to native bush and looking for help maintaining the weeding around all our baby native trees.
About us! I am Michelle (33) and live with my husband David (33) and our three girls, Lilly (10), Kate (8) and Emily (6). We also have two friendly Shiba Inu dogs and a snuggly ginger cat. We have 10 acres of coastal beach property that we have been turning from weeds back to natives (planted over 3.5 thousand natives in April 2023 and are planting more each year.
We have had a steady flow of lovely people come and stay in the caravan over the last couple of years who have helped us with our gardening and we have loved getting to know everyone and sharing our cultures with each other.

So far the couples who have stayed with us have enjoyed snorkling and kayaking and many other fun experiences around this area. If we go out on the boat we would love to take you with us.

We can't keep up with all the weeding around the property - there is just a bit too much for us!

We have had couples from France, Sweden, Uk, Germany, America and Denmark who we could share language and culture with which was very fun. We are patient and open to helping if speaking English is hard for you.
Accommodation
We have a fully self-contained caravan on the corner of our property right next to your very own private beach. Kayaks will be available for you to use and a picnic table area.
There is a double bed in the caravan with bedding supplied. Couches and a table. There is also a toilet and a shower, towels provided. The kitchen has the basics; with plates, cups, cutlery, pots and pans. Also a small fridge and freezer.
You will have free Wifi at the caravan too
What else ...
The driveway to our property is the start of the gorgeous Mahinepua Peninsular DOC walking track – this is such a nice walk to do!
We are not too far from Whangaroa Harbour which is a great area to explore and there is our favourite Saint Pauls Rock walk there too. Matauri Bay is close by which is a well-known surfing beach.
Kerikeri has so much to see and do – including Rainbow Falls, the Stone Store and Kerikeri Mission House.
Slightly further south is the popular tourist destinations of Paihia and Russell in the famous Bay of Islands. Further North there are so many beautiful (and often overlooked) beaches to explore too (Mangonui, Doubtless Bay etc).
You will need your own car to fully explore this area.
