Description
We are a young couple from Chile and Germany. The diet on our farm is mixed, with 3 meals a day. On the farm there is no electricity but we have a small solar charger for mobile phones and only in certain spots mobile network available. As we are well travelled and open minded, we expect our visitors to be the same. Our aim is to build a farm according to Permaculture principles. We have established a small vegetable garden for home consumption and have a small flock of chicken as well as five honey bee hives. We also have cats.
Somos una pareja joven chileno-alemana. La dieta en nuestra granja es mixta con 3 comidas al día. En el lugar no contamos con electricidad, sólo contamos con un cargador solar chico para teléfono móvil, y con conexión a internet sólo en algunos puntos de la propiedad. Somos de mentalidad abierta, por lo tanto esperamos que nuestros voluntarios lo sean tambien. Nuestro objetivo es construir una granja bajo los principios de la permacultura. Hemos establecido un huerto para consumo doméstico, del cuál obtenemos la mayoría de nuestras verduras, así como tambien contamos con gallinas para la producción de huevos y abejas para obtener miel. Tambien tenemos gatos.

Los visitantes tienen la oportunidad aprender sobre las costumbres locales y jerga Patagonica, mejorar su conocimiento en construcción natural y compartir vistas y conocimientos con nosotros y los vecinos.
Help
This summer season (from october 2021 until february 2022) we are going to be building with natural materials, mainly completing an earth flooring, plastering, rock foundation establishment, mud brick preparation, brick laying etc. We'll be mainly in the need of people with knowledge and experience in stone laying (masonry), at the same time we are going to need volunteers interested to help us with diverse mud work. Bear in mind that this is heavy work which requires perseverance and fitness.
Esta temporada de verano 2021-2022 queremos seguir construyendo con materiales naturales, principalmente nos gustaría terminar un proyecto de piso de barro, establecer un cimiento de piedra, preparación de adobes, albanilería, revoque etc. Principalmente necesitamos a gente con conocimiento y experiencia en construccuón con piedra (masones), así como tambien necesitaremos voluntarios para distintos proyectos relacionados a la construcción con barro. Por favor considerar que este tipo de trabajo es árduo y requiere de perseverancia y estado físico.

Accomodation is in a tent, which we will provide, and we will cook together in our small hut. Showers outdoors and shared dry toilet.
La estadía es en una carpa que nosotros proveemos y las comidas las cocinamos y compartimos en nuestro pequeno refugio. La ducha es outdoor y los banos son secos y compartidos.

Preferrable you are a couple or two best mates with some knowledge or degree in the fields of building, agriculture, permaculture, alternative therapies, and similar.
You will be in the heart of Patagonia, on the shores of Lago General Carrera and Rio Aviles, so bring a rod if you are interested in fishing. There is a public bus service to our village from Chile Chico twice a week (CLP 1200/USD 2), where you'll find public and tourist services. It’s also possible to be dropped off along Carretera Austral on the way from Chile Chico to Puerto Guadal, 6 km. from our farm. We are looking forward to meeting you!
De preferencia nuestros voluntarios deben ser una pareja o tambien 2 buenos amigos, con experiencia en construcción, agricultura, permacultura, terapias alternativas y similares.
Estamos ubicados en el corazón de la Patagonia chilena, a orillas del lago General Carrera y cercanías del Río Aviles, asi que trae tu equipo si estas interesado en la pesca.
Contamos con servicio de transporte público hacia nuestra localidad 2 veces a la semana (CLP$1200, USD$2), También es posible llegar al lugar con servicios de transporte que van hacia otras localidades y que paran a 6 kilometros de nuestra ubicación.
