Details
 - Description- Hi :)
We’re a warm, multicultural family of four — I’m from Brazil, my husband is German, and we recently bought a big property on the outskirts of Hamburg that we completely fell in love with. We enjoy a simple, active life: spending time in the garden, playing with the kids, hiking in the nearby forest, and connecting with people from around the world.
 About the Project:
Our garden is our biggest passion and the heart of our home. We spend a lot of time working outdoors and would love your help with gardening and small outdoor projects. If the weather isn’t great, there’s always something to do indoors too. We appreciate creative, independent, and hands-on people who are ready to jump in, share ideas, and enjoy the process with us.
We’ve been Workawayers ourselves (in Australia!), so we know the importance of feeling welcome, trusted, and respected. We’re looking for easygoing people who are open to cultural exchange and willing to be part of our daily life.
 Meals & Living Together:
We love cooking and sharing meals together. You’ll have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with us, and our kitchen is always open if you need a snack or want to make something for yourself. Cooking together is a great way to connect — and we’d love to try recipes from your home country too!
 Our Place & Location:
We live just outside Hamburg, surrounded by nature but still connected to the city. You can reach downtown Hamburg in about 30 minutes by car or roughly an hour by bus and train. There’s a beautiful forest just down the road, perfect for hiking and relaxing. The nearest town for groceries or shopping is about a 10-minute drive away — we’re happy to give you a lift once a week, or you can get there in about 30 minutes by bus.
 - Types of help and learning opportunities- Gardening - DIY and building projects - Help around the house
 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- Me and my husband loved to travel before kids. We meet in USA as AuPair and i moved to Germany. We leave in Germany together since 2011. In 2017 we finished studying and traveled the world for 1 year. That’s when we also did work away. Now we have settled and love to share the experiences we had while traveling and also hear from yours.
 - Projects involving children- This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
 - Help- Hi Workawayers!
We’re a down-to-earth and easygoing couple who’ve also been Workawayers ourselves (in Australia!), so we understand the ups and downs of this kind of experience. That’s why we’re especially excited to offer a welcoming and respectful environment where cultural exchange, teamwork, and mutual trust are at the heart of everything.
Our biggest focus right now is the garden — it’s where we spend most of our time, and we’d love your help bringing it to life. Whether you’re experienced or just enthusiastic, a hands-on attitude and a creative spirit are more important than perfection.
We really value independence, fresh ideas, and open communication. On rainy days, there’s always something to do indoors, and we’re happy to find meaningful ways for you to contribute.
We’re looking for people who, like us, enjoy working together, sharing stories, learning from one another, and building something real. If that sounds like your kind of vibe, we’d love to hear from you!
