Description
Hello earthlings! I'm Ginevra — mum, nature lover. Sociable, but just as happy with my own quiet corner. I've done plenty of travelling myself before settling here, so I get the appeal of moving around. I live on a stone farmhouse estate in the Maremma countryside in Tuscany, near Scansano (Grosseto) — olive groves, hills, a proper yoga shala with a wooden floor, and a lot of quiet. I'm here with my son and my dog (no other dogs are allowed), and for part of the year I also host people in a co-living setup. In summer there's also a saltwater pool with a breathtaking view, and I work seasonally with short-term tourist rentals too.
I'm looking for someone who can stay with us for a longer period and become a real point of reference for the place — not just help with a few tasks here and there, but someone I can actually count on when I'm away for a couple of days. Someone independent, with their own car (no public transport out here), who genuinely loves the countryside and, just as importantly, loves dogs. Previous experience with house-sitting, gardening, or similar style stays is a big plus.
A private room on the estate, in exchange for your help. Hours are quite variable and really depend on the season — in autumn and winter, what I mostly need is house-sitting, dog-sitting, and taking care of the wood for the fireplace, so it's less about clocking hours and more about being present, someone who genuinely wants to be there. You'll have your own space and plenty of quiet, plus access to the shared living areas and, depending on the season, a small international co-living community passing through.
I'm not looking for a one-sided arrangement — I want whoever comes to feel genuinely at ease here, and hopefully we build a real friendship along the way, with clean, honest and fair communication, no fuss and no need for formalities. To be fair about it: I'm not looking for an employee to give orders to, but someone who genuinely wants this experience and sees the value in the exchange — especially the human side of it.
If you're seriously considering a longer stay (at least more then 1 month but preferably longer), message me — happy to answer any questions before you apply. I'd rather put the time into people who genuinely mean it :) -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This is slow living for real, and a genuine connection with locals — not a curated version of it, and definitely not the wellness-retreat kind of quiet with candles and a set schedule, just real slow days where your brain finally shuts up for a bit. You'll get folded into everyday Maremma life, pick up practical countryside skills along the way and discover some of the most authentic and beautiful spots of this part of Italy's heritage on your days off. You'll also get to practice your Italian in everyday situations, and since I host an international co-living community for part of the year, you'll likely cross paths with people from all over — so the exchange isn't just with me, it's with whoever else happens to be passing through.
