Description
We are a patchwork family with lots of children (age 2 to 18) and a huge house and garden. We have chicken and try to grow our own vegetables and fruit.
We enjoy having visitors and sharing part of our life and faith with them. And we always need help, mainly with gardening and DIY tasks in the house, but also with things like household chores, child care, driving kids to and fro, etc. So if you want to get to know us and support us one way or another you are most welcome.
We are believers and want to serve and honour God with our lives. He is our father and we live for him. That's why we call our place "PapasHof" ("daddy's place"). Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.
We keep the biblical Shabbath. That means that we don't work on Saturdays but instead enjoy a day or rest, spend time together and with others, and spend time with God. We ask everyone staying with us to respect this and for example don't do you laundry or go shopping on Saturdays either. Workawayers have Saturdays and Sundays of. (We ourselves might do some work on Sundays, however.)
We love to have individuals over as well as married couples or families. There is enough room in our big house.
!!! In case you want to come short notice, you better contact us by phone (ask us for the number). I am not always online and sometimes don't see a message until a day later. !!!

Help
To be honest, we could use help almost everywhere... ;-)
There are some DIY task to do in and around the house. Lots of gardening is also necessary. Some areas need to be cleared of weeds. Other areas have to be dug up so that we can start planting vegetables in the spring. Some trees need be felled or cut back. Wood has to be chopped for heating. There is enough to do. Pick your choice or help us with what is most needed. And we grow lots of our own vegetables and can use help with that.
If you prefer houshold chores, I'm happy to have help with cleaning, cooking, baking, washing ... Or you help playing with our younger children to give me a break ... or pick up the older ones from school or drive them to their sports events. There is always something to do.
So feel free to let us know, what you are interested in, and simply pick your job. ;-)
