Description

Hello! I am a 73 year granny and I live separately from my daughter Nadia and her 2 daughters, 13 and 6, but in the same house. My other daughter Pen runs the organic farm with a paid worker, so there are lots of animals, i.e. sheep, cattle , 2 donkeys and a pony plus cats and dogs!
Pen, her husband and 3 children live 100 metres away on the farm at the end of a longish avenue. Apart from when the cousins are playing it is quiet and peaceful. Before I retired I became a Farming for nature ambassador! I love the trees, birds, hens, gardens and Nadia's home grown organic vegetables and we hope you would too..

Family 3 generational meals, barbqs, outings to pubs for traditional music, going to the lake for swimming. As we travelled quite a bit we love tasting different foods and learning about different cultures. I can share ours with you
Help

I'd like help working with me in the garden, deadheading, watering, clearing clutter and creating with the children or playing ping pong, badminton, boules on fine days and board games in the evening with me. Also help with feeding the various animals here, the 20 hens, 4 cats, the dog and the wild birds, taking the dog for walks, quite possible with me. Also I'd appreciate help with cooking and tasting your country's food. Basically as I am getting older I just want help in trying to keep my home comfortable, which involves all sorts of things, but nothing very specific and my grandchildren provide entertainment. Help with the computer would be good also.

A bus comes from Dublin to our local village where we meet you, there are bicycles to borrow, ping pong to play and frequent lifs to Mullingar. No smoking in house, good Internet, days start at 9 am.

Matheus and Cyntia were great guests and great Workawayers! They cooked delicious food, sorted out the stereo, Matheus is very good with the computer, removed the old raspberry fencing, cleaned, fed the animals and generally helped around the farm. I wish them well!

I loved having Ryan and Lindsay! They cleared and stapled the Wisconsin rabbit proof fence prior to planting new forestry, they kept the kitchen spotless and cooked great food, they were interesting, reliable, willing and altogether excellent workawayers who I wish well.

Lynn was a great and skilled workawayer who took on a job and stuck to it til the bitter end. she made a wonderful job of scraping and varnishing/painting the stable doors which lost years of neglect and rushed jobs. Also a great cook and time keeper!

Although Francesca was only with me for one week it seemed longer because she did so much to help both with the animals, doing the ironing and feeding us all with great food! She is a great artist and left me 2 beautiful drawings of sheep. She got on very well with my children and grandchildren and I wish she could have stayed longer.....

Stefan is very capable and really helpful to have around. During his three week stay here he achieved alot- he drove the tractor harvesting several tonnes of wood, repaired my corrogated iron barn roof, did great work in the garden aswell as cooking and washing up! He is also very organised.
