  • Description

    Description

We, Peter and myself, live in Ngatimoti , 20km upstream from Motueka township in the beautiful Motueka Valley. River and mountains for outdoor activies are closeby.

We live self sufficient on a block of land organically managed, all produce is for our own use or to share within our family. We would appreciate help with projects around crop harvesting, DIY and reforestation of native flora. We have 12 cattle, 12 sheep and some chickens, but no pets. Sometimes we do dogsitting for a friend.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are from Germany and still use some of the german traditions, which we share with our helpers, and our helpers can share some of their traditions depending on where they are from.
We had many volunteers in the past from all over the world and we really enjoy learning about their traditions.

Depending on the project, we will initially work together until workawayers are confident enough to work independently.
A big project is our upcoming olive harvest, we all pick by hand and mostly need about 4 or 5 days to pick the grove, starting approx. around mid May, which is weather depending.
