  • Description

Hi! My name is Loïc, I’m 28 years old, and I come from Annecy, a beautiful town right in the heart of the French Alps.

I decided to come to Ireland because I don’t just want to take standard English classes; I am looking for a true immersive experience. My goal is to share the daily life of a welcoming family, discover your culture from the inside, and improve my spoken English naturally while helping you out in return.

My background & What I can bring to your home:
I grew up in the countryside and have a very hands-on background. I am very used to hard outdoor work: clearing streams with a strimmer, mowing large areas of land, and maintaining trees and hedges. I even built a pétanque (French bowls) court from scratch!

I am a true DIY enthusiast at heart. I am very comfortable with manual work and attention to detail. I frequently help my friends renovate their homes, both inside and out. Whether it is DIY projects, renovation, painting, or heavy gardening, I am always happy to roll up my sleeves.

Whenever I have free time, you will find me hiking, trail running, or cycling. I have a lot of energy and I love staying active! I am very mature, independent, respectful of other people's space and routines, and always in a good mood.

A little note about my job (Digital Nomad):
Professionally, I am a freelance architect. My business is currently growing internationally, which is exactly why I need to improve my English! I am traveling as a digital nomad, but I want to be completely clear: during my stay with a host family, my work takes a back seat. My absolute priority is the time spent helping you and sharing your daily life. I am putting my business on "semi-pause" and will only work on my architecture projects during my own free time, so it will never interfere with the tasks you need help with.

If you are curious, you can check out my work on my website: Pierzo.com

I can’t wait to meet you and share some great moments together!

  • More details about your skills

Heavy Gardening & Landscaping: I am very used to demanding outdoor tasks. I can safely operate power tools like strimmers (to clear streams or difficult terrain), lawnmowers for large areas, and hedge trimmers. I also have experience pruning trees and maintaining a large property year-round.
    • DIY & Home Renovation: I am a true handyman. I frequently help friends completely renovate their houses (both interior and exterior). I can do painting, repairs, basic construction, and I am very comfortable using a wide range of power and hand tools.
    • Architecture & Spatial Design: As a professional architect, I have a great eye for detail and space optimization. If you have a renovation project, need advice on interior design, or want to build a small outdoor structure (like the pétanque court I built at home!), I would be thrilled to bring my professional expertise to your project.
    • General Maintenance & Problem Solving: Having taken care of my family home since I was young, I know how to manage a property. If something is broken, I will always try to find a smart way to fix it.
    • Physical Stamina: I am an avid trail runner, cyclist, and hiker. I am physically fit and have absolutely no problem with heavy lifting, digging, or spending the whole day working outside in the fresh air!
I am an independent worker, meaning you can show me a task and trust me to get it done efficiently and carefully. However, I am always eager to learn new skills if you want to teach me something specific!
