Description
Hello, We are a retired couple with an old farm in need of restoration. We have done up the house and have a 2 bedroom apartment for family and friends . It has a fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom with all new appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, a full dining area and separate lounge.
We live 2km to the closest town that has wonderful restaurants and cultural events. 20 minutes to Faro and Olhao where you can go to the beaches in the Ria Formosa. There is a bus stop at the end of our short road.

We love meeting new people and like to share our life adventures and would love to hear yours. We speak English and a little Portuguese and would love to practice with you. I am a ceramic artist and can teach you about making pottery here in the studio.

We have lots of small tasks that need to be done for example, painting the patched area on the garage, organizing the tool area, pulling weeds and strimming the land, garden . sanding and painting the front door, cleaning out the old water tank , repairing the old chicken house so we can get some chickens : )

We are interested in practicing language but it is not essential to the workaway exchange.
Accommodation
2 bedroom house with fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom, new appliances including washing machine. Large dining area and separate lounge area. Beautiful views of the valley. There is a cafe and lunch restaurant very close and 2km to town with grocery stores, restaurants, cultural events.
2 week stays preferable and we ask that you provide your own food . There is a basic pantry of food ie, eggs, bread, pasta, spices, olive oil and some canned goods, as well as any fruit or vegetables from the garden, the rest you would provide for yourself.
We expect our home to be treated with respect. We have spent a lot of time and money on remodeling it and want to keep it in good condition.
What else ...
We are very flexible in when the work is done, 2 days of work all day and the rest of the week off or 2 hours a day. Some of the jobs are labor intensive and some are easy and can be completed quickly.
