My husband and I were both in the Coast Guard. We are from different areas and have lived in or traveled throughout the United States and would love to share our experiences. We home school our daughter and we all would love to learn more about our travelers (their culture, where they are from and where they have been).
Help
We have a hobby farm/homestead and would benefit from travelers who can help with brush clearing, farm tasks (cleaning barn, help with chickens and cows), trail tasks, light gardening and general yard tasks. We would also love help inside the home with cooking.

English: FluentThis host offers a language exchange
My husband has taken German language classes but has not had opportunity to practice it in many years. We both know some Spanish, but would love to learn more and get opportunities to use it. We are open to learning other languages too of course!Accommodation
We have an 18' camper trailer that is parked in a covered parking bay of our shop. It is a cozy space in good condition and has the typical camper accommodations including bed, kitchen, table, and bathroom. There is also a bathroom and shower in the shop. We would love to have travelers cook and eat with us, or they can have their meals separately, whatever is preferred.
What else ...
-River access directly across the road from our house for fishing and swimming (in warmer months)
-14 mile National Scenic Trail (the result of a Rails-to-Trails program completed in 1998) which is a beautifully paved biking and hiking trail that winds its way through old growth forest and past three covered bridges on its way to the eastern shores of Dorena Lake and on down the Row River
-6 Historic covered bridges nearby
-11 miles to Cottage Grove, Oregon, 25 miles to Eugene, Oregon
-Beautiful hiking opportunities (including multiple waterfalls) both on our property as well as within short drives or bike ridesA little more information

Space for parking camper vans
We do have some space available for a campervan.
Can possibly accept pets
We currently do not have a fence, so pets would have to not be a flight risk. We have three dogs (two indoor and one outdoor) and we don't know how they do with other dogs but we know at least our indoor dog does not do well with cats.
