    I would like to teach you Swahili and our tribal languages from the Mijikenda community, as you endeavour to learn our unique cultures and traditions. I am also interested in learning Spanish, French and German. Feel free to share stories, personal experiences and about the authentic ways of life from your countries or elsewhere, and more. We are friends!!

    Your accommodation will be a shared room, furnished with a comfortable bed and mosquito net, a small kitchenette, a reading table and a cozy couch. You will also have access to high-speed unlimited Wi-Fi.

    As a workawayer in Kenya, you will have the opportunity to experience the local cuisine and cultural exchange through food. We will have meals made from locally grown crops, such as Ugali, Mokimo, Bananas, Githeri and more. You will also have the chance to indulge in street food and trendy spots, as well as affordable eateries.

    You will learn more of the various foods associated with different communities like the Swahili, Kikuyu, Maasai, Mijikenda, Luhya, Luo, Kalenjin, Kamba and more. Through these local culinary experiences, you will be able to learn about the Indian and Arabic influenced dishes and rich history, dating back to as early as the 16th century. This will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of the local culture and traditions.

    You will also have the opportunity to help in cooking and visiting local villages to better enjoy the cultural exchanges. Overall, food and local cuisine will be an integral part of the cultural exchange during your time in Kenya.
