Description
I’m a 58-year-old woman living in a charming garden house about 20 minutes by car from Copenhagen. If you want to go to Copenhagen by train, you can cycle for about 10 minutes to the nearest station and then take the S-train 20 minuts.
Last year, I hosted five Workawayers, and it was such a wonderful experience. We had a great time together, and I really enjoyed getting to know people from different cultures. It confirmed for me how much I enjoy the whole Workaway concept.
I live on my own, so you'll be sharing the house only with me. I’ll do my very best to make sure you have a great stay here in beautiful Denmark. I’m sure you’ll love both the surrounding nature and, of course, our wonderful capital, Copenhagen.
I'm looking for someone with gardening experience who genuinely enjoys working outdoors. There are several garden projects to do, and one of the main tasks will be trimming the hedges all around my garden. Since I work full-time, I'm looking for someone who is confident working independently, has a good eye for detail, and takes pride in doing a good job.
I’ll always make sure the fridge is well stocked with food. As we’ll both have our own daily routines, I don’t expect either of us to cook for the other every day. I like the idea of sharing everyday tasks naturally. On the evenings when it suits us, we can cook together or take turns preparing dinner for each other.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I'd love to hear from you! Luna -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I hope you'll leave Denmark with more than just memories of gardening. I'd love to introduce you to Danish culture, everyday life, and our way of living. If time allows, I'll be happy to show you Copenhagen and some of my favourite places in Denmark.
I also enjoy learning about other cultures, so I hope we'll share stories, traditions, recipes, and plenty of conversations. I'm currently learning Italian, so if you speak Italian, I'd love to practice with you. I believe cultural exchange is about learning from each other, and that's one of the things I enjoy most about hosting Workawayers. -
Help
The work mainly involves general gardening tasks, such as removing shrubs, pulling weeds, trimming hedges, cleaning the patio, and similar outdoor tasks.😊

I’m learning Italian and I’m putting a lot of effort into it. If you’d like to help me practice, I’d really appreciate it. 😊 Sto imparando l'italiano e mi sto impegnando molto. Se ti va di aiutarmi a fare un po' di pratica, mi farebbe davvero piacere. 😊 -
Accommodation
Of course, you’ll have your own private room with a door leading directly to the garden. 😊
My home is a traditional Danish garden cottage, so it’s quite small compared to a regular house. It has a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, my bedroom, and your own private bedroom. It’s not a big house, but it has everything we need, and it’s cosy. I’ve hosted Workawayers here before, and it has always worked really well for two people sharing the space.
There’s also a terrace where you can relax, a fully equipped kitchen, and bicycles are available for you to use whenever you like. -
What else ...
During your stay, you'll have the opportunity to experience everyday Danish life, not just the typical tourist attractions.
Copenhagen is easy to reach by train, and there are so many interesting places to explore. You can visit the colourful canals of Christianshavn, the unique atmosphere of Christiania, enjoy amazing street food at Reffen, wander through the old city, visit museums, or simply experience the cosy cafés and Danish way of life.
If you enjoy nature, you can also explore forests, beaches, and the Danish coastline. One of my favourite experiences is visiting the impressive Giant Troll sculptures by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, hidden in beautiful natural surroundings.
Whenever I have the time, I'd be happy to show you some of my favourite places and tell you about Danish culture and everyday life:) -

I'm incredibly grateful that my first Workaway experience was with her. 😭
Lone offered more than just a place to stay — she opened up a whole new perspective on how to see the world.
But it wasn’t something she taught — you simply learned by being around her.
