Description
Hello, we are Eli and Wim. We live with our lovely one year old son Adan and our cohousing friend Niels in a cozy house in Flanders, Belgium.
Apart from being a mother, Eli is part of an NGO. She just started a 7 months organic farming project for people with Down Syndrome.
She also loves painting and drawing and is making a children's book about a Syrian refugee man, based on his true story.
Wim is working as a team leader for a nature conservation organization. In his free time he is volunteering for the same organization as a conservator of a nature reserve. He is very interested in plants and animals and he loves working with wood.
Niels works for the Flamish Human Rights Institute. In his free time he is a gymnastics teacher and he does aerial silks in circus. He loves reading and we love listening to him reading books to us in front of the wood stove!
We live next to Eli's family (parents, brother and sister), and we often have friends visiting, so it's a lively and interesting place :).Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
-Taking our baby Adan outside (he loves being outside!) so Eli has some time to draw on her children's book.
-Helping in the farming project for people with Down Syndrome. Every Saturday we have a group of people coming to our farm and we are introducing them to the farm life. We are growing organic vegetables , fruits, herbs and flowers together and we do other farm activities like shaving sheep, using the wool to spin and weave, making jams, chutneys, syrups,... drying fruit, picking apples for juice, etc.

We live in a cohousing. All rooms in the house are shared, apart from the bedrooms. You will have a bedroom for yourself. If you like sleeping outside, there is also an option to sleep in a caravan, where you can watch the deer and the squirrels passing by.
We have the habit of eating together. Usually one person cooks for all of us, and we take turns.
We eat vegetarian food, mainly organic and we use lots of fresh vegetables and fruits from the garden.A little more information
