Description
Hello! We are Eli, Wim, Niels, Adan and Mali, and we live together in a cozy home in Flanders, Belgium.
Eli and Wim are married, Adan is our happy little son, and Mali is our 6 month old baby. Niels is our cohousing friend and we have been living together for four years now :).
Eli works for a youth movement (youth for nature and environment) and about once a month she organizes a farm day for people with mental disabilities. She loves painting and drawing and is working on a children’s book based on the true story of a Syrian refugee.
Wim is a team leader at a nature conservation organization. In his free time, he volunteers as a conservator of a nearby nature reserve. He loves plants and animals and enjoys working with wood..
Niels works at the Flemish Human Rights Institute. Outside of work, he teaches gymnastics and he does aerial silks in circus. He loves reading, and we enjoy listening to him reading books in front of the wood stove.
We live next door to Eli’s family (parents, brother and sister) and we often have friends visiting, so it's a lively and interesting place :). -

Help
-Caring for our little children: taking our toddler Adan outside (he loves being outside!) and helping with our little baby Mali, giving Eli some time to do other things.
-Helping in the garden. We grow organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers, and we can use help with sowing, watering, weeding, making jams, chutneys, syrups, drying fruit, picking apples for juice,...
-Helping in the farming project for people with a mental disability: one Saturday a month a group joins us on the farm to experience farm life.
-Helping with the household, cleaning and cooking.
-Eli’s brother Wout is a great vegan chef. In summer, we plan to organize neighborhood meals using the harvest from the farm, and you can help with preparation and cooking.

Accommodation
We live in a cohousing. All common areas in the house are shared, but you will have a private bedroom for yourself. If you like sleeping outside, there’s also the option to stay in our caravan, where you might see deer and squirrels passing by ;).
We have the habit of eating together. Usually one person cooks for everyone, and we take turns.
Our meals are vegetarian, mostly organic and we use lots of vegetables and fruits from our garden. -
What else ...
We live about 3 kilometers from the nearest train station in Bilzen, with easy train connections to destinations all over Belgium. You’re also welcome to use one of our bikes 😊.
The area is known for its lovely cycling routes, and there are plenty of beautiful places visit! -
