    Description

    Hello Workawayers,

We are happy to share that after the 2025 general election, Tanzania remains a safe, peaceful, and welcoming country to visit. Life continues normally, and visitors are warmly received across the country.

My name is Augustino, also known as Weza,a Swahili name given to me by friends meaning “the ability to do something.” I am the founder and director of a non-profit organization established in 2019, following extensive travel across East Africa where I conducted research in agriculture, economic development, and childcare.

    Our Mission

Our mission is to empower children and youth from diverse backgrounds by creating opportunities for education, personal growth, and talent development. Specifically, we aim to:

Support children and youth in building better futures through education, sports, and outdoor activities.

Encourage young people to maintain strong academic performance and develop a healthy balance between education, sports, and outdoor learning.

Keep community youth engaged in positive activities and away from drug use.

Unite young people through shared interests in education, football, and community outdoor activities.

    What We Do

Our work is delivered through three main areas of activity:

    1. Education Program

This is our longest-running program, focused on early childhood education. We support children from different backgrounds before they begin primary school by teaching basic mathematics, English, and Swahili, while creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.

Outdoor learning activities are included to help children develop confidence, teamwork, and social skills.

We also emphasize capacity building for teachers. Volunteers who can share new teaching methods, classroom management skills, and creative approaches are highly valued.

    2. Football Academy

Our football academy supports children and youth both academically and physically. After school hours, participants engage in football and structured activities that promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyles.

Through sports, we motivate young people and help them develop skills and values that support success both on and off the field.

    3. Outdoor & Community Activities

As part of our work, volunteers also have the opportunity to participate in outdoor and community activities, including visiting families and individuals in need within the local community.

These visits help build understanding, empathy, and meaningful connections, while offering encouragement and practical support to people facing difficult situations.

    Our Goals for 2026

One of our key goals for 2026 is to establish our own primary school. This goal comes from our direct experience with children who, after leaving our early education program, join local primary schools and often face very difficult learning environments, including excessive punishment and limited emotional support.

By creating our own primary school, we aim to provide a safe, child, centered, and supportive learning environment where children can continue their education with dignity, confidence, and care, while maintaining high academic standards.

Teachers, football coaches, outdoor activity facilitators, education specialists, and individuals who wish to experience Tanzania while making a meaningful contribution to our community are warmly welcome.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
We look forward to welcoming you.

    Asante.
