Description
Hello Workawayers,
I'm happy to tell you that according to the world travel & tourism Council, Tanzania was awarded the safe Travel Destination stamp, so don't hesitate to come over and help people in need.
Who are we???
My name is Weza. Weza is a swahili word which was given by my friends, it means ''the ability to do something”. My official name is AUGUSTINO and I run a non profit organization based on Saving and Teach The Innocent (SATINO). The organization was founded back in 2019 after I spent time traveling through East Africa conducting research on agriculture, economic development and childcare.
Satino's mission:
1.To help children and youth from different backgrounds to improve their future lives through education and talent development.
2.Encourage the players to maintain satisfactory grades in school and to emphasize the importance of keeping a proper relationship and balance between scholastic and athletic endeavours.
3.Keep our community youth busy and away from using drugs.
4.Bringing our youth closer together through common interest in education, soccer and arts.
In Satino, we have three different programs (education, football academy, film and music):
Would you fit this program?
Are you passionate about youth football (soccer)? Do you want to come learn and share ideas with a licensed coach at our football academy?
Do you consider yourself an outgoing person? Want to put your skills to the test and help us raise money?
Do you enjoy working with children? Want to join our teachers in educating our society's youth that otherwise would miss out on education?
Are you passionate about the arts? Want to come help advance a brand new arts program?
We are working to raise money so we can achieve future plans to expand the school. However, right now we need help sustaining our operational costs.
EDUCATION PROGRAM: Launched in 2015, the Educational programme is our oldest one with a clear aim; educating the children of different backgrounds prior starting elementary school. Besides teaching the children Math, English and Swahili, we also aspire to create a better environment for them to learn and grow.
We also need teachers to teach teachers, giving them tools to improve their classes. If you come to teach the children you will be very useful, but you will be more useful if you come to contribute new visions to the teachers. If you are a teacher, or want to get experience teaching, this is your program.
FOOTBALL PROGRAM: Our football academy started with the aim of taking care of children and youth academically in school and, after school hours, in different sports and games to keep them healthy and busy.
Our focus is to provide stimulation through the power of education, as well as a soccer experience for children and youth in a way that it develops and enhances their skills and passion for the game. Our effort is to ensure that further down the line, this skill and enthusiasm translates into success for them, both on and off the field.
If you are a football trainer, this is your program.
ARTISTIC PROGRAM
This is a new program beginning in 2022, with the aim of promoting local talent. For the moment it is still in progress, but the objective is to create an art school in the future.
We currently have some young teenagers interested in improving their artistic skills. We have various musicians, singers, camera operators, actors and dancers. We need volunteers who can bring artistic knowledge and create a collaborative network with our local artists to create video clips and films. You are welcome if you can give film classes, if you can donate audio Visual material, if you can give music classes, if you can donate instruments and above all if you come willing to share knowledge and help our artists to have more visibility outside of Tanzania.
Content creators welcome. Artists welcome. Youth football (soccer) proponents welcome. Aspiring teachers welcome. Construction/architecture specialists welcome. People that want to come experience Tanzania while also helping this organization are welcome.
