Hi there, I’m Sophie! I’m 24 years old and just finished my two year training in retail.
Couple years ago after I finished school I traveled to Canada and worked there. That was one of the best experiences I had in my life. I learned so much and met the most amazing people. Now that I’m done with my training I want to do it again.
I love the outdoors, wandering around cities and just exploring my surroundings. I spend most of my free time reading, outside or with my friends. I have no trouble getting my hands dirty and I’m always open to learn new skills.
Hi, I am Ethan, 23 and from England. I want to experience all kinds of opportunities while I'm here! I love being outdoors, and want to venture outside my comfort zone and get my hands dirty. I have had multiple wwoofing/workaway experience in New Zealand so far, and it has gone well. I think I'm easy to get along with I am open to learning anything! Sophie:
I started working when I was 16 in a little bakery. During that time I also volunteered at my local church for their holiday programs for kids where I help organize the games/activities and played with the children. The last two years I worked in retail (organic grocery store) and learned to take a lot of responsibility. I’m a tidy and organized person. I’m good with children and pets. I have a lot of customer service experience and I also worked in a hotel and restaurant for 9 month. While working as a housekeeper I gained a lot of experience in making beds, cleaning kitchen and bathrooms.
Ethan:
I started work at 16 working at McDonald's in my hometown. I stayed there for around a year before going to university. Whilst at university, I worked at a supermarket as an online shop picker. In New Zealand, I have worked as a runner at a mushroom farm and have had various labouring roles whilst living in Wellington.
