Hey there!

My name is Miriam. I’m a 20-year-old who graduated last summer and is excited to see new places, make friends with strangers, and learn about different cultures.
I really enjoy making music and spending time outdoors. I love hiking, climbing trees, doing a bit of parkour—basically anything that gets me moving in nature.

Over the past few years, I’ve had some weekend mini-jobs. I worked at a small museum, helped out at an annual music festival held in a nearby castle, worked two month in the Hessian Music Academy and assisted a forester with planting trees. I’ve also been involved in organizing some Fridays for Future demonstrations. Until now I had three workaway experiences in Sweden, one in France, two in Ireland and am looking forward to more adventures.

This October I will start studying Music and German in Freiburg to become a teacher.

I really enjoy working with my hands, even though I don't have much knowledge in the field. I'm eager to learn and usually pick up new skills quickly.
On my last workaway experiences I was able to learn some carpentry skills. So, I'm not a total beginner and always up for a challenge :).

I'm also quite skilled when it comes to music. I play the violin, piano and guitar, and I helped for several years at an annual summer music festival. So I have some experience with organising events.

Miriam stayed with us for 3 weeks. It was an amazing experience. Miriam is a powerhouse of energy and positivity. She could turn her hand to almost any task either indoors or outdoors. Miriam was a fantastic workawayer!! She was here 2 1/2 weeks, helping me mainly with carpentry work and some other stuff of fram maintenance. Although not being skilled in handing different tools she tried everything and improved pretty fast.
Very motivated, never complaining, friendly and socially.
