    Description

We are family of three: Amilia, Olaf and Kiljan - soon 5 years old. We live on the countryside near Älmhult, the IKEA town. Our small farm is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the forest. We organize trail running events few times a year, as well as non-profit pizza pop-ups. We combine events with charity actions to support small NGOs.
(Our profile picture is taken in Norway, there is no mountains around us)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are a Swedish-Polish couple that loves outdoors, trail running and climbing. There is a lot of trails to run right outside the door. We are planning to have animals in the future like chickens, goats, sheep although we are vegetarians but would be amazing to produce own cheese and socks one day ;) We are interested in off-grid solutions and aspire to develop this place to accommodate bigger community of likeminded people.
You will have opportunity to learn about carpentry and how to take care of the forest in sustainable way.
If you are interested in Neapolitan pizza style we are happy to share what we know. One of us is a certified personal trainer so she could offer some free consultation and we also have a private gym and climbing wall in the barn ;) we also love slack line and. I'm happy to share about meditation that I practice since many years.

  • Help

    Help

Since we have started hosting volunteers in 2023 with their help we have completed: roof construction for pizza oven, wooden deck by the trailer and house, reconstruction of barn section (70% completed), renovation of mini house for guests.
List of projects never ends so no worries, there is plenty to do if you wish to gain some carpentry experience. When it comes to bigger and more exciting projects this is what we have in the pipeline: playground built with materials from the forest, mini log house for kids, outdoor shower set up, sculptures on the forest trail, pizza oven rebuilt.
Here is a list of 'smaller' tasks that we normally need help with: fire wood collecting/chopping), garden maintenance, kitchen maintenance, washing wood outside (walls, floors etc since we don't use paints and other chemicals), preparing trails in the forest.
We are growing some veggies for own consumption and would like to expand it gradually. Depending on the season there is lots of work around veggies or very little.
If there will be a running events we will very much needing your help during the event.

    Accommodation

    There are few options:
    - trailer with added roof and wooden deck, hammock outside for reading books or just napping, inside 2 big beds, no water, no toilet, no heating.
    - Tiny house - very cozy mini house with heating, no toilet, no water.
    - Upstairs in the barn - amazing space newly renovated, no water, no toilet.
We would prefer that guest are using outdoor toilet and we are happy to share a shower inside the house. If the weather is good guest can use outdoor shower.
