    About Mimi:

I am basically a road tripper. The thirst for adventure presented itself to me in 2008 when I left in my little Yaris Hatchback for Western Canada to work in Banff for 4 months. Since then, I have never stopped traveling. My longest adventure to this date is when I went to Australia for a year with only one plan: a one way ticket! On the side, I also discovered the Fijis, Costa Rica and Peru. A bit later, I came back to Canada and studied film script writing at University. My dream was to create long length movies. After 5 years in the short film and television industry, I woke up one morning with the need for a challenge that was beyond me. Why not make travel films and combine my two greatest passions? I plunged into the world of entrepreneurship in 2014 and challenged myself to make 10 travel movies around the world! Today I have 4 films to my credit: the first is called NOMADES, a roadtrip in the United States (yes, in the same little car I had!); REPERES, where I redefine modern Canadian iconography in all its provinces and territories (even as far as Nunavut); AURORA, a third film about South America, exploring topics like preconception of the other and expanding the width of our comfort zone. My fourth and latest film, MIRAGES, is about tourism simulacra, pre-gave impressions that social media gives, travelling around the Black Sea in Europe and Asia. (For more details on my project, www.filmsoiseaudenuit.com because I could write long about it!).

Now, Mike and I have decided to become full time nomads, and become adventurers of time, experiences and life itself. It means a lot to me to meet people from all over the world who could inspire others to become better persons and who have projects that allow them to surpass themselves and to show the world all of that through my camera. Looking forward to meeting in a future adventure!

    About Michaël:

Worldwide wanderer and thrill seeker, 40 countries visited; hundreds of people met.

I love sports, the outdoors, travel, arts, languages, culture and music. I have several interests and passions, and like to dig deeper into each subject that I am interested in. I believe that my greatest talent is human contact. I am a jovial and good-humored person, with good listening skills. I love to advise people and help them to the best of my knowledge. With my many travel experiences, I have acquired a very good ability to adapt to all kind of situations which also make very good stories to tell! I love meeting new people and experiencing new things.

I lived in Central America for two years (Guatemala and Panama) and it gave me a whole set of new skills, and of course, opened my mind on key concepts such as minimalism and frugalism. Since then, I have tried to expand my comfort zone as often as possible. Whether it's simply getting lost in the Souks of Marrakech, camping in the wild jungle of Malaysia, going down the Death Road on a mountain bike, surfing the curves of the Himalayas on the top of a bus in Nepal or to stand near an erupting volcano in Guatemala, whenever there is an opportunity for adventure, you will find me there. For me, life is full of possibilities and if you stay open to it, it just weaves itself together.

Our new life goals are to take the time to explore and discover the world while taking the time to live; travel slower to enjoy more. I also realized over time that I prefer to invest myself and focus on small scale but more human focused projects. For several years now, I have been overseeing the logistics and schedule at Films Oiseau de Nuit. I am in charge of the planning and the smooth running of the shooting of the various films.
