    Description

We are a happy family based on parents and two homeschooled kids: a cheerful boy (2015) and a lively girl (2013).
Dad works full-time job Mo-Fr and Mom work home office whenever she wants :) We are dedicated to some additional activities and ministries as well. But we try to spend as much time together as possible and enjoy the time being. Kids are our precious treasures and bring lots of joy to our life!
We have over 10 years long welcoming guests/volunteers experience which makes our house opened for people and culture exchange experience. Therefore we would like to welcome volunteers to stay with us and share their life experience with us and with our kids.
We are members of Christian community and our faith determines our choices. We also raise our children according to Bible principles and widely understood respect for human being and life.
Some other facts about us: our relatives live nearby; most of the time we eat at home or at our friends places; we try to run a healthy lifestyle (cooking, sport, life balance etc); we have quite a wide group of friends and we love to hang out with them – different activities together depending on the season of the year; we have a cottage in the mountains (1,5h driving) – spending weekends there or holidays – depending on the season as well; no TV at home; NO smoking home (and no drugs at all), no abusive behaviors, no pets; WI-FI available; the house is nice, cozy and clean, we try to keep it organized.

We live in a small, pretty market town in Silesia state - south of Poland, a few km from the border with Czech Republic. The place is safe and quite calm. Nice for walks, running and bike riding, especially spring-autumn. In winter we experience smog problem, however we have our own ways to enjoy life outdoors, e.g. walks in the forest. There are things going on around the town, which makes the perfect environment for children and a peaceful place to live in.

We would be happy to share with our guest: cooking, cakes baking, learning and trying basic archery or sword fencing, worldwide travel experience, board games, mountain hiking, skiing, biking, and more...!

To encourage you to go on a trip and visit us :)

    Help

Workawayer female/couple/family preferred. We can be flexible if it comes to volunteers schedule. We’ll expect some help with the children (pro-active attitude only please, creative playtime) and household duties. But most important will be language and culture exchange for us and children. 5 hours a day would be great, usually no need to work during the weekend - still welcome to join our activities. If you like boardgames then we have plenty of prototypes to try :) Any help in development is appreciated. Last year the first game hit the market - Glory: A Game of Knights.

We need our volunteers to be members of the family. Why WE NEED? because we can not "afford" to have "guests" in the house. We are quite occupied with the children and daily routine, trying to keep harmony lifestyle and it is important for us (does not mean we are not spontaneous :) ). Therefore volunteer MUST feel like home: know where to find what or try to find :) keep asking anything in case, have initiative (!), can not be shy (!), questions like: can I help, can I do? - will be welcomed; simply be helpful, be welcomed to join any activities/meals, etc.
We also understand that respect of both parties privacy is necessary.

We welcome our volunteer for 1-2 weeks stay with us. More than 2 weeks is too much for us and can be too much for a volunteer, because it is not "a big city life" here :)

Please feel free to ask any further questions about us/lifestyle that we run. Up till now we have really been very lucky with amazing people to stay with us! Maybe you can be one of them? :)

We live in a spacious house with garden. Our guest will stay in the couch room, which can be made private (doors can shut). There is a guest bathroom for private use available.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is a train station/bus station next town which connects you to main cities in the region.
Just an example of interesting places to visit - 2 hours by car to Krakow, 3 hours to Wroclaw, 3 hours by train to Prague in Czech Republic, 4 hours by train to Vienna in Austria, 4 hours by train to Warsaw. There are many small activities around that can be interesting as well as trying to find out about our local customs and culture.
In the free time our guests can take a chance of a nice area for running, bike riding, horse riding nearby; going to the swimming pool, attend board games club...activities depend on the interests of the guest and seasons.
