Emily was amazing. She visited with us for 2 short weeks and was impactful from the 1st day! Wished she could stay longer.

My friend and I are so grateful for the experience we had working with Mati. The thoughtfulness and high spirit that this house is built with, is a reflection of the amazing people that played a part in this project. We loved learning new skills, techniques, and helping in whatever way we could. The stories, laughter, and meaningful conversations shared between work and lunch breaks were all a part of why we had such a special time here. Between Mati and his parents they made sure we truly had everything we needed and more, including a great accommodation and the most beautiful shabbat meal. They really have the biggest hearts, and their warmth made us feel so welcome. After work there was so much to explore including two gorgeous hikes and the breathtaking Kineret. Being able to help such good people build a sustainable home in Israel was truly an incredible experience that we will never forget. I highly recommend volunteering here if you can, you wont regret it:) Thank you Mati for everything, we can't wait to come back one day. Wishing you much hatzlacha!! I spend 3 months working in the end of 2022. It was truly one of the best experience of my life. Bonfires in the beach near to the hostel, guests from all over the world and for sure the staff was the cherry of the cake. I'll always recommend the hostel for friends and everyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful view with good energy; Made friends for a life-time. I would like to thank Fabio and Ricardo as well to receive me and give me this opportunity! If you're looking to meet people, that's for sure the place!

Madeline formally known as Mickey was one of our best helpers ever. A person easy to get along with, a great sense of humor, and was helpful in so many ways. We worked hard on landscaping, taking care of the animals, along with canning fruit and vegetables. We also managed some mosaic artwork for fun. We threw in some camping, Mammoth Cave, and I learned the definition of being a sore winner. Thank you so much, Mickey.

J'ai passé un excellent moment pendant 2 semaines avec Nico dans sa ferme avec des plantations de tous genres: papaye, manioc, uru, kiwano et même la physalis! Il y a vraiment de tout. On y mange presque que des produits du jardin, ceux sur lesquels on a travaillé. C'est donc enrichissant d'à la fois en apprendre plus sur la permaculture et récolter le fruit de son travail. L'endroit se trouve dans un environnement paisible, pas trop loin de la mer avec un coucher de soleil incroyable. On s'y sent vraiment bien pour profiter du temps. Et puis Nico a été hyper accueillant, il a toujours été à l'écoute et aime partager ses connaissances. Au delà de ça, nous avons vraiment appris à faire connaissance et je peux désormais affirmer d'être sorti de la avec une nouvelle amitié et de bons souvenirs. Je recommande à 100%

It was a pleasure to welcome Cosima into our home. She is sweet, helpful, tidy, respectful, and most importantly wonderful with kids. My son has a great bond with her. She is already missed and always welcome back ☺️

These guys are awesome. Calm, nice, interesting to talk with and working hard. They spent about two weeks with me and had a truly hard job to get done. And I must say, they did their best.

I recently had the pleasure of spending two months as an au pair with the family in Australia. My primary responsibility was to look after the 5-year-old son Oskar. Oskar is a bright and curious little boy who loves trying out new games. He made my time with him both fun and rewarding. I had the most contact with Swetlana, as we coordinated Oskar's care and other household matters. Lana was always communicative and supportive, making it easy for me to feel like a part of the family. Lars and I often went surfing together, which was an incredible experience. We had wonderful conversations and went on unforgettable trips to nearby towns and national parks all together. The family is incredibly warm and welcoming, more so than any other family I have encountered. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home and well taken care of. They are genuinely invested in the well-being of their au pairs, ensuring that I always felt comfortable and happy. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to stay with and be looked after by such a remarkable family in exchange for taking care of Oskar. Words cannot fully capture how wonderful this family is. I highly recommend getting to know these three amazing individuals. Thank you for everything! Sending you all a big hug!

Milan was a surprising presence. Despite his young age, he is capable, precise and tireless in his work. It was a real pleasure to host him and this house will always be open to him. Thank you Milan

The days i passed with the Family lorret in santa cruz passed really fast. I was their fist volunteer, and we spend ca. 10 days together. i had a very nice room, and was included in the family very fast. I also spend nice time exploring the city and a village nearby (buenavista) with their daughter. they are all very friendly, welcoming and talkative persons and know many things about Bolivia and Argentina. the place where they live is very secure, quiet and the fact that you can use the sauna/pool is amazing! Also the connection to the city is very easy and cheap. they life in a small house in the condominium and have some restauration, painting and cleaning projects. All in all very chill and flexible. id recommend a stay! all the best and take care

I had a wonderful time house and pet sitting for Esther, Daniel and Elena. I really enjoyed looking after Lili the cat (who was pregnant at the time!) and Julie the hamster, weeding the garden and enjoying their lovely home and location. Biel/Bienne is an underrated location in Switzerland with great access to other cities. Inbetween looking after the house and pets I was able to do some hiking, sight seeing and a couple of day trips. The family left the house clean and uncluttered making my stay terrific and were always available if I had any queries. I would love to return in a year or two and especially give Lili a cuddle or two! Thanks Esther, Daniel and Elena for a wonderful workaway experience.

Oh man I don't even know where to start describing my amazing experience volunteering at the Zome. I originally planned to stay for just 3 weeks but I ended up extending my stay to almost 2 months because it was such an INCREDIBLE experience! Staying with Laurent and the team in Zugdidi felt like being at home. The kindness, empathy, and humor made every day enjoyable. The volunteers and I were cooking together, playing chess, or doing activities all the time and that was super fun. I had my own private bedroom and the flexibility to change my sleeping arrangements whenever I wanted. One amazing thing about Laurent is his ability to give you the freedom to do your own thing, which is a fantastic trait. The work itself was a great mix of everything—sometimes cooking, other times construction, or gardening—but never too heavy and always interesting. I learned so much and Laurent made sure everything was manageable and enjoyable. Even when I messed things up or broke something, he was always calm and patient, never losing his temper. That’s a virtue I truly respect! One memorable moment was when I had a non-work back injury and had to be hospitalized. Laurent was there for me throughout, taking care of me at all times and being my family when mine was far away. His support during that hard time was nothing short of a blessing, and I’m forever grateful for everything he did for me. Laurent is also an excellent storyteller and always has a story or a funny joke to tell 😂 and he's so passionate about it that sometimes he dives into the smallest details. Now if you’re into that like me, you’ll absolutely love it. But if you’re more on the introverted side or have social anxiety it can be a bit much sometimes, but nothing overwhelming at all. Overall, this was hands down a 10/10 experience. If you’re thinking about this opportunity (especially if it’s your first time using Workaway) do yourself a favor and DO NOT HESITATE to reach out and apply to volunteer here. Laurent is one in a million—a rare find with an amazing mission. You'll have an unforgettable time with him. Thanks again for everything, Lulu. I can’t wait for you to visit me back home so I can spoil you just like you spoiled us. Much love bro!

Stayed with a friend for a month. Fantastic people, incredibly open and kind hearted. On numerous occasions went out of their way to help. Fed us very well, accomodation was comfy, no complaints. Would absolutely recommend getting to know them (and their adorable babies). beware big cute dog, she jumps😁

Carole and Julien were great hosts with a beautiful plot of land in the Pyrenees. We had lots of space to park our campervan and facilities were more than ample. We spent almost a week building some timber frames and gardening. Julien and Carole were very helpful and great to hang out with. would love to come back again! Callum and Poppy

I spent just over a month at this project. It’s quite remote, but easy to get to by train from Stockholm, for those who choose not to fly 💚 Nick and Justine were super welcoming. I arrived with a bunch of other volunteers and we were greeted with a delicious candle-lit meal on our first evening and given everything we needed to settle in. The accommodation is warm and comfortable, food is healthy and plentiful (note: vegetarian household, not vegan, although they happily cater for vegan), lots of game’s available to play, and there’s a beautiful lake within 5 mins walk from the house. Jobs were allocated according to skills and interests, and we had plenty of flexibility to problem solve and make suggestions, which I really appreciated. Nick is truly inspirational with his communication - gracefully and humbly welcoming any criticism or feedback and really made an effort to get to know each volunteer and make sure we were enjoying our time there. The surrounding land is ex-plantation and although it is regenerating nicely, there’s very little around in the way of wildlife, but I’m sure it will come with time. There’s plenty of mosquitoes and midges tho! Take bug repellent with you!!!

Dear Kiara, Thank you so much for your kindness and support of our company and family. My family has always respected and appreciated my individuality very much. We like to share good things with others as much as possible. We struggle daily to keep our home open and always for free in the Berber Life style. Thank you for your support, time and energy. Wow! Where to start? Kevin was so helpful, he always wanted to learn new things, we assembled two wood closets, did the the mowing using electrical machine, painted the roof, clean the common areas and always so polite. We will miss him so much and we wish him a very nice trip and when he decide to come back as a friend he will be more than welcome. Enjoy the trip dear Kevin!!

La experiencia con Chris y Mery fue increíble. Tienen muchas ganas de ayudar...ayuda de la buena. Son voluntariosos y disciplinados. Alegres y divertidos. Lo entendieron todo. No siempre se tienen personitas que cumplan con todos los requicitos en cuanto a saber entregar y recibir ayuda .
