Mily was a wonderful stable hand and an all round super workawayer. Always positive, appreciative and open to learning, she completed her many and varied tasks diligently. I felt confident leaving the property and animals in her care when needed, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to other hosts, she is a joy to have around.

I had a great week with Etienne, helping him in the garden of his b&b. His communication was clear and task expectations were very reasonable, and it was really nice to chat with him. The accommodation is very comfortable and is well located for exploring Pucón when you have time off, and Etienne has lots of knowledge to share with things to do in the area. A very successful exchange and I highly recommend this host and project.

It was a pleasure hosting Ian. Huge respect for tackling the painting — especially on the high ladder (not everyone volunteers for that part 😄). You handled it carefully and responsibly, which we really appreciated. . He was easy to live and work with, respectful of the space, and always ready to help when something needed doing. All the best on your travels, and any future host will be lucky to have you. You’re welcome back anytime!

We had a wonderful 3 months with Cecilia staying with us; she was fun, laid back, caring and respectful of our parenting style. Cecilia went out of her way to ensure that she was caring for our child in the way that felt good to us, I was deeply appreciative of this! Our little one felt very much at ease with Cecilia, right from the beginning I was able to leave them to play together (which doesn't always happen). Ailsa enjoyed lots of play time, coloring, watching movies, chats and general support from Cecilia. I felt very comfortable leaving them together, and left them a few times for half a day. Cecilia was very helpful around the house, and was able to get on with cleaning tasks once I had explained it to her once. Our dogs also loved playing with her! It was a great joy to watch Cecilia become more adventurous and active, taking many trips and lots of walks to the village. It was also a real pleasure to meet her dad on his trip to Ireland too :-) Cecilia is very open minded and non judgmental; the perfect presence to have while I have been pregnant. I was initially concerned about having someone here during this part of pregnancy, but Cecilia put me completely at ease and I felt very supported and listened to. She was also a great help to me once I had passed my driving test, accompanying me on a few trips. Thanks for trusting my driving skills :-) Overall a really lovely experience, I would recommend Cecilia as a work awayer to any host with children, particularly if children are musical or wishing to learn. We have done a few volunteering opportunities whilst travelling and this has been the best by far. Juan Carlos and his mum Angie are wonderful, generous and welcoming people. We felt well looked after and supported during our time on the farm. They offer a relaxed approach to farming and DIY help and there are lots of opportunities to learn new things and also explore the local area. The work was varied but would start late morning and would mainly be light helping hand work or assisting with the cows. The accommodation is beautiful and you have your own private room/cabin with kitchen and bathroom etc. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Juan took us on hiking trips as well. Cannot recommend enough and the pictures on here don't do it justice. Thanks again for everything.

I originally planned to stay for one week, but I ended up staying almost three weeks, and that already says a lot! From the first day, I felt incredibly comfortable with Jason and Lisa. Their trust (for the work, their car...) meant so much to me, and it made the whole experience feel easy and natural. They did everything they could to make me feel welcome and at home. The place itself is incredible: beautiful, calm and inspiring (some alpacas as neighbours 🥰). Jason and Lisa are genuinely lovely people 💛: warm, open, thoughtful and very easy to be around. We shared many great conversations, laughed a lot, talked about languages, life, and creativity.... The feeling was instant, very natural, and respectful. Everyone respects each other’s space, which makes the atmosphere very balanced and peaceful 😌. I truly felt like I was becoming part of the family or close friends. Even their little Isobel is just as funny and adorable as her parents 🥰. Despite being busy, they were always available, helpful and supportive. Their kindness, generosity and big hearts really stood out to me. Also, Lisa and Jason’s cooking was delicious! 😍 They lent me their car, that was incredibly helpful! For the work, I helped them with their websites during my stay, which made the exchange feel very natural and mutual 🤗. Thank you for everything! 💚 I’m very grateful for the time spent with you and just have met you 🍀, I will remember this stay with a lot of warmth 💛🧡❤️

Neyla es una persona muy interesante, paciente y generosa. Me ha encantado conocerla y compartir con ella en diciembre. ¡Me sentí a gusto rápidamente! He trabajado en su maravilloso jardín y la he ayudado a practicar el francés. Estoy muy contenta de mi primer workaway con ella. En general, tuve una experiencia muy positiva, definitivamente lo recomendaría. Neyla is a very interesting, patient and generous person. I loved meeting her and sharing with her in December. I felt at ease quickly! I have worked in her wonderful garden and I have helped her practice French. I get to meet some of her friends, and exchange with them. I'm very happy with my first workaway with her. Overall, I had a very positive experience, I would definitely recommend it.

So glad to have met fellow Brits here for the first time since landing in Australia months ago. Alva and Duncan's homestead was such a privilege to enjoy a short exchange in. They live on a beautiful patch of land that's calming and inspiring. They lend a great work ethic and varied routine for their workers and a wonderful setup for your accommodation. Thanks so much for having me, friends - that was 1 week I really needed, yet it felt like longer ☀️

We spent 3 weeks and we felt directly at home. Michel and Isabel are really welcoming and make us feel comfortable. In 3 weeks, we learnt so much, all the tasks are super varied : gardening, harvesting, maintenance, construction, cooking, taking care of the animals (sheeps, chickens), ... Aside the everyday tasks, we are free to get more involved and learn even more : we learnt how to make sourdough bread with Isabel, and learnt the basics of carpentry with Michel. They are really attached to leave us a lot of freedom and choice, depending on our interests, we can get involved in different tasks. A typical day in: meeting at 9am to distribute the tasks, working on your tasks until 1pm30 / 2pm, eating lunch together (someone prepares it for everybody), free afternoon (you can enjoy the cold pool, have a walk in the forest, visit the city, chill, play boardgames) and then eat dinner as you wish. In case you were wondering, we are eating very well (veggies from the garden, organic products) and in big quantities ! We really appreciated to have access to the food storage at any time so we can have breakfast, dinner or a snack whenever we feel to. We also really appreciated to be with other volunteers so we could have a good team energy and get to know various people. We had a wonderful time there and highly recommend this place and hosts. Luka is a great person, who wears his heart on his sleeve, he was loved by everybody espacialy the dogs and cats, we only told him something once and he would just go out and be his best self, he came back for a second stint and was one of the top workaways, Luka you are welcome to visit us anytime, thank you you from the bottom of our hearts for your help and kindness, till we see you again

A super friendly family who were always there for us. Nathalie transformed our somewhat overgrown garden into a beautiful space. She worked incredibly hard. The communication was very pleasant. We had a lovely meal together and had some great times. They are very tidy and professional. Highly recommended!

Paul and Deirdre were amazing to work with. They were not afraid to get their hands dirty and challenge tough tasks. They participated in our hacienda's first papaya harvest, which was very special. Since Deirdre is fluent in Spanish, she was able to interact with the locals as they learned about Mayan culture. Overall, they were skilled workers who shared with me their knowledge about permaculture practices. Paul and Deirdre are highly recommended.

We spent two weeks with Alva and Duncan. They welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home! They are very kind and always ready to help us if needed. We were with other Workawayers, which was really nice.🙂 As for the work, we helped with collecting and storing hay bales, gardening, housekeeping, and Alexis also did some carpentry work. We loved being surrounded by animals and nature. Among the animals, there are two very friendly dogs , a bit crazy yes, but so cute! We will keep fond memories of our stay, thank you for everything. ❤️

We had a lovely time staying with Lilian and Galip. Their house is charming, and we quickly came to love our time with the dogs every morning and evening. It was a busy time for Lilian and the family so we were left to our own devices much of the time, but everyone at the pottery studio was helpful and friendly. It was great to share their routine and daily life for the short time we had together.

We had a wonderful experience at Daniel and Ora’s home. From our very first contact, they were incredibly welcoming and kind. Daniel is a fantastic person who made us feel at home from the start. He took us to meet his wife’s family and invited us to experience many adventures around Chiang Mai. Together, we spent some time working on his farm and also collaborated on content creation and video editing projects for his YouTube channel. We are truly happy and grateful to have met them and for all the amazing days and experiences we shared. Thank you so much, Daniel and Ora! We wish you all the best and highly recommend this experience to future volunteers =D

It was a very good experience at this place! Agust and the hole family (and Alice) are very kind and respectful. Gulliermo is a very good chef and you will be impressed by his food. The work was various and physical, but I liked it. Also the area and the beach are great. Thanks :)

Having Natsumi and Shobu on our hacienda was a very positive and rewarding experience. They mostly completed gardening and landscaping tasks (cutting down trees :)) They were very respectful, hard-working, eager to learn new things, and committed to the projects they were assigned. They make an awesome team. I was impressed with their Spanish and at how fast they worked together, solved problems, and how they coordinated tasks. Natsumi and Shobu are model volunteers.

En arrivant. j'ai tout de suite été séduite par le lieu. Ses lumières, sa tranquillité, sa douceur, sa faune et sa flore incroyables. Daniela et Ben ont créé un lieu magnifique et respectueux de l'environnement. J'ai été gentiment accueillie par Daniela et Kelsey (a very nice coworker). Nous avions la chance d'avoir chacun notre chambre (Willy nous a rejoint une semaine après mon arrivée) dans une cabana agréable, située à 10 min à pieds de la maison de Daniela et Ben. Nous confectionnions les repas avec les bons fruits et légumes du potager. Certains jours nous partagions l'almuerzo tous ensemble. J'ai eu l’opportunité de découvrir et pratiquer le yoga tous les matins avec Daniela et Kelsey. Une très belle entrée en matière pour commencer la journée ! Sur ces 3 semaine, nos missions de volontaire consistaient à soutenir le travail auprès des magnifiques chevaux de race Marchador. Leurs chevaux sont en confiance avec les humains et dressés avec de réelles compétences et beaucoup de respect. L'adorable Alana travaillait également avec nous. Puis quelle récompense et quel bonheur de monter à cheval en fin d'après-midi, au milieu des troupeaux de vaches, moutons et chevaux ; de croiser un Capybara, une mulita, un ñandu ... Sucesor, merci pour tes galops si confortables ! Nous avons également fait des travaux de peinture (murs et signalétiques), vernis le SPA norvégien, ranger et nettoyer le gîte, promener les chiennes et cuisiné pour la communauté. Rigueur et flexibilité sont attendues dans le travail. J'ai eu la possibilité et la chance de pouvoir découvrir la région sur mes jours de repos. J'ai découvert le yoga et continue de pratiquer et bien que déjà cavalière, j'ai également affiné mes connaissances en éthologie équine. Daniela, merci de m'avoir fait confiance. Ton professionnalisme, ton engagement et ta bienveillance sont précieux. Tous nos échanges étaient riches : en uruguayen, en anglais, en français … Nous finissions toujours par nous comprendre ! Merci encore à vous : Daniela, Ben, Alana, Kelsey et Willy pour votre générosité, votre gentillesse et tous les bons moments partagés avec vous ! A bientôt j'espère !

A charming family who welcomed me into their home for two weeks with so much kindness and care. Victoria and Julz are incredible people, who are raising an absoluty adorable baby (I’m missing his cheeks and jumps so much). They took me everywhere and shared so much of their lives with me, which made my stay unforgettable. Even my work felt enjoyable, seeing how passionate Victoria is about her plants and her food forest. Thanks to them, I met so many lovely people and created beautiful memories. I can never thank them enough for everything they did for me. The stay was short but they already have a place in my heart.
