Emma isn't due to leave us until Sunday but we wanted to give her feedback now. She's been one of the most delightful workawayers we have had. She's fitted well into the house, very considerate that it's our home, great with the dogs, very conscious worker. Despite the weather and not being able to get outside she was happy to undertake some mundane tasks indoors. Little jobs that we've put off for ages! She's been a pleasure to have around. A quiet talented young lady who will be missed not only by us but by the dogs too, particularly Penny who she's sat giving cuddles to every evening. Would welcome her back at any time in the future.

Mayaan & Ben are the perfect workawayers for a community-project. Superhelpful, supernice and very initiative. We are still profiting of all the work they have done and are happy to meet them again! See you, later guys! :)

Travis, and all, this is an important review. I can see you put considerable thought into it. And since what I write here will end up on your workaway profile, I want to first say to future hosts that you have my recommendation as a positive, solid person, with a friendly demeanor and a good work ethic. Your advice to prospective guests about being open, asking questions, doing great work, speaking up, and being a leader is important and resonates. I'll encourage any prospective guests to speak freely with us about this review. All the best.

Good place to slow things down, learn about Buddhism, and experience the life in a monastery. The work's not hard and there's plenty of rest time in the schedule. Food is really good: you can choose to eat with the monastics or in a more casual setting. Accommodation is also nice with plenty of bathrooms and dedicated clothes washing area.

we stayed with Tan and Ant for just over 3 weeks and loved every second. We immediately felt welcome and part of the family, with delicious food, good games and such interesting warm people. We both learnt so much and were very grateful for their patience and time commuted to showing us their farm, animals and wonderful way of life. Lorinna is a magical place and the community was always stopping by, welcoming us both. We can't thank Tan and Ant enough and would 100% recommend them as a Workaway! See you both in the future !!!! 🐑 🐕 🐔

We really enjoyed having Lucas & Alfred stay. They worked enthuastically & well. We pulled a tonne of weeds -Ragwort, pulled out and stacked fence posts, moved fences and picked plums. As they are both tall we made good use of them rolling out wires & securing the top wire to the 2 meter deer netting, work they could do without a ladder or quad bike to stand on. Would highly recommend them for any workaway position you may have available.

Floor and Niels were a great help to us. They worked relentlessly with us to paint the garage walls and floor and did various jobs around the garden. Best of all were the engaging conversations sharing life experiences. Both are mature, capable and super friendly Workaways.

As this was my first ever Workaway experience, I really didn’t know what to expect or what would await me. But from the moment Yuho and Aichan picked me up, I felt incredibly welcomed. With such kind people who genuinely care about your well-being, the stay is guaranteed to be wonderful. Through shared dinners and community events, you get to know the hosts and other volunteers, and in every experience you can sense that this community is something they deeply care about. I wish both of them all the best with their upcoming projects, and I am truly thankful to have been a part of this.

Tif and Felix are a wonderful couple! Once I knew them I would marry them, but they are already married! It's easy to understand why 😁 They are very respectful, generous, reliable and versatile on tasks, very easy going, 100% indipendent and focused 🥹 They gave me lot of help, doing many extra tasks and preparing wonderful meals. We did lots of things in very short time, boosting every process! We did harvest citrus, weeded the garden, lots of mantainance in the garden, then made lots of desserts, and laughed a lot! We watched movies almost every night, warming up our bodies with tasty soups! As a host I wouldn't think twice about kidnapping them 🤣 You are always welcome here 🙏 Good luck with everything! All the best!

Gabrielle stayed with us in January and supported us with several hands-on projects, including building a roof in front of our door and helping with preparations for setting up our sauna. He was reliable, hardworking, and very willing to help wherever needed, especially with practical and physical tasks. On a personal level, Gabrielle was very pleasant to have around and was particularly kind and gentle with our baby, which we really appreciated. He integrated well into daily life here and brought a calm, positive presence to the household. Due to a small language barrier, we didn’t always manage to communicate or chat as much as we might have otherwise, but this did not affect his work or attitude in any way. We are very grateful for his help and can highly recommend Gabrielle to other Workaway hosts, especially those looking for support with building or DIY projects.

my partner and I had the most amazing time staying with Misha! he is the kindest, most easy going host. we were staying here during the off season but we're still able to help out when needed and feel part of the local village. We were so sad to leave and will absolutely return one day!!

It was a pleasure to host Ghita. She started off clearing weeds from the garden beds, but as it started raining, she began painting the house. She did a great job, preparing the timber, sanding and painting, and the house looks great! We shared some recipes and she showed me how to make gnocchi. On top of that, Ghita was respectful and helpful around the home, she is a good natured, happy and competent young woman. Thanks again Ghita :)

I had a very interesting time helping Senpo in the mountains of Changbin. If you have only ever seen the cities of Taiwan, this is a completely different experience! I am so grateful to Senpo for letting me work in this beautiful area! The work was enjoyable and varied! It included clearing paths, building and planting gardens, moving compost, and helping to set up for one of Senpo’s workshop. Since Senpo was teaching a workshop right before I left, I got to stay in a beautiful miniature cabin close to the town of Changbin (thank you Senpo for making this wonderful arrangement!) and learn about Dr. Xiao’s slapping therapy (something totally new to me and something worth looking up). If you like some hard work in a remote area with some great food, people, and perhaps a little chaos, then I would recommend this experience. It felt to me like another world! I extend my most sincere gratitude to Senpo and Changbin’s community for making this an experience I will never forget! 謝謝,Senpo!

Cliff and his partner Kat were amazing! They got to work quickly and impressively built structures on the property like a roof that I had the materials for. Both so great with my family and very respectful! A+, can't wait to have them back one day :)

Ella is such a warm-hearted and lovely person! She took us to many local events like Paepae on Waitangi Day or a backyard gig in the neighborhood which was an awesome and unique experience. We shared some traditional German and kiwi dishes and just enjoyed our stay waking up to this amazing view to Mt. Taranaki as well!! We helped in Ellas garden with some weeding and painting and still could explore a lot in South Taranaki. We can highly recommend staying with her and of course with her lovely dog Girl :-)

Pola joined our academy and was diligent about helping out with editing in the office and otherwork. She joined in on some of our activities and everyone hopes she was able to have some valuable experience being here.

Priya stayed with our academy- helping in the office and with daily chores. She was great to have and brought different views and experiences to conversation with the staff which everyone appreciated. She was always sunny and positive about whatever was happening and willing to share how what we teach or do might relate to or be different from her own understand or views. Hope you get more travels in and visit us again in the future!
